@djwudi I'm actually loving the #Gorn glow-up. Maybe it's because my only real exposure to them was Arena, but I thought it was a stroke of genius to take a rather unserious villain, known mostly for a silly costume and ungainly movement, and turn them into a genuinely scary threat. Of course, one of the other awesome things about #StarTrek is how vast the lore is, and how diverse the opinions on that lore!

So ein klein wenig fühlt sich #SNW wie die bessere Variante der #ShortTreks an. Nicht n4ur das sie thematisch wunderbar von Folge zu Folge variieren, auch stilistisch waren die letzten Wochen super abwechslungsreich. Dem Titel nach erwarte ich in der nächsten Woche eine eher düstere Folge mit Cliffhangerpotential. Natürlich über die #Gorn, ich denke das dürfte gesetzt sein.

Giant boulders littered the landscape - expected a #gorn to pop up any minute!
Finally got to #StrangeNewWorlds S02E01 tonight. days after many, so most key points have been discussed elsewhere, but it was a good start to the season.
I continue to enjoy their takes on Spock and Spock/Chapel more than I initially thought I would when the new versions of these characters first appeared.
Loved seeing the D7.
I like the Klingon design existing somewhere in between the classic (post-#TOS) look and the #DIS look, and the variations in the Klingon’s ridges and hairstyles.
Definitely happy to have Carol Kane join the crew.
Nitpicks: The Enterprise is still too grey for my tastes, though they seemed to be lighting her a bit better in most shots. I’d be thrilled and amused if somewhere during the #SNW run, even if it’s right at the end, they bring the Enterprise in for a refit that includes a nice white paint job.
I’m no canon hardliner, and so far have been enjoying how they’re “bending” canon, but I’m still skeptical about the whole #Gorn thing.

Kirk & crew drop in to an isolated outpost only to find it bombed out. Later, in what felt like a completely different episode, GORNS! The Metrons force Captains Kirk and Sleestack to work their shit out with a good ol’ Star Trek fight instead of talking it out.
Did Star Trek predict Winamp visualizations? Are the Metrons really as advanced as they claim? Is Kirk a micromanager?
