After a few days of not seeing them, the Corneja family (a family of hooded crows) are back in the neighborhood.

For a few weeks I was only seeing the parents (Raúl and Graciela) with one of their children. I was worried that something had happened to the other. But they all showed up today, I guess the kids were taking just turns.

(Raúl had flown away when I took the picture)

I went up North to visit the folks at the weekend and enjoyed my usually walks around the fort, along the shore. This fabulous Hooded Crow landed on the shore in front of me then started strolling towards me, browsing in the surf line, not a care in the world. Made for a fab photo opportunity for me!

#OnThisDay (2020) I went downtown and caught a crow after multiple reports on a local bird group of it being injured and unable to fly.

Catching a crow isn't easy. It couldn't fly, but it sure can run.

Anyway, I took it to the vets to get a health check and he got released shortly afterwards in a local park.

A photo of two hooded crows taken from a distance on a field, mid afternoon, in the beginning of technically-spring in Sweden. The snow has started to melt with some brown, dry grass and other vegetation starting to show. The hooded crows are walking towards camera left, looking quite distinguished as they can't help looking. Their plumage is grey, with their tails, legs, faces (including the beak) and the bottom half of their wings being pitch black.
