I always thought it was interesting that I felt the need to define what a "gamer" was when I was a kid, and it was because I wanted to peg my identity on something that I thought was cool at the time. I wanted to define it based on experiences that you needed to have in order to really be one. Think a desire to exclude "fake gamer girls." (It's a good example even though I never wanted to do that.)
So if you want to define membership in a group based on common experience, you immediately run into the "problem" that there are infinitely many and increasingly diverse ways of experiencing interaction with that group. How could you possibly overcome that for a definition but to abandon the project of an expansive definition and choose, instead, minimum qualifications?
So what was my minimum qualification definition of being a "gamer"? It was "You can't call yourself a gamer if you haven't played Mario 3." Remember I'm discussing my (conscious and unconscious) thoughts as a child in the 00s, so Mario 3 was old and felt a little exclusive because I had a hand-me-down NES and my friends got to play with PS2s. And it's fun. I used to say it was the best game ever when I gave a damn about that sort of thing, which was another factor in this.
But the point is not necessarily which game I chose. It is why I chose a particular game at all, and how I came to that one. I chose a game because it was a minimum bar, as I explained, but I went into this idle thought trying to define membership in a group that I already believed I was a member of, right? So I chose a game that I had already played. Because I believe I was a member, I never would have defined myself out.
A significant part of my personality was being propped up by having an answer to this question of "what does it mean to be a gamer?" It mattered a great deal to me then because I wanted an identity. I would have been devastated if my process revealed that I was not, in fact, a gamer because I did not do something yet or did not appreciate an experience that a gamer would (such as going to a con, which I dislike now but had literally never done then). I needed to feel comfortable in knowing that I understood membership in the group and that I was a member, so I would accept nothing else to the contrary.
So, anyway, let's talk about why you feel the need to define "creativity," "artist," and "author" at all. Furthermore, let's discuss why your desire to keep people out of these groups based on experiences you expressly do not wish to understand is the same as the movement to label "fake gamer girls."
(Minus gender oppression.) (Although probably not "minus gender" because the typical stereotype of an uncreative artist, a mediocre artist, or especially an AI artist is certainly masculine.)

Companies generally are still struggling with the basics of Identity and tooling still isn’t plug and play and simple to implement. My feeling is that most are 2-3 years away from being ready to use AI but I suspect poor data quality and governance will delay real value.

The more I reflected on it, the more I understood why I often seemed a poor fit within an organization of which I was a member. Most seem to view "loyalty" as being loyal to a person (the boss) but I realize I had viewed it as being loyal to the values and mission of the organization — and that often led to problems.

Job search has a new wrinkle. My social anxiety has gotten worse. My medication is being changed for that and some of the side effects may lower my reaction times. Because I overthink whenever I set up a new social media bio and did actually have this problem during an ERG call a few weeks ago:
At a family picnic ~15 years ago, during a break after a rough game of horsehoes, one of my great-uncles starts a conversation with his brothers (2nd gen Americans): "So my grandson came to me the other day and asked, are we Mexican-American? And I said...🤷♂️sure(?)"
This started a conversation where every term that we've used in the last while was listed: Chicano, Latino, just Mexican, Hispanic, Spanish (a New Mexico thing).
What should me and my second cousin be calling ourselves? 4 generations in, barely speak an Spanish, etc. Mexican-American? Chicano (if I'm chicano I'm like the indoor cat of chicanos)? Nuevomexicano, really? I usually just said Hispanic which usually means a few generations in here, but I really don't know outside of that, and I also didn't used to work with any Latine from outside New Mexico to have to worry about it.
A brief detour into "but we're supposed to check white on the census, no?", then finally, as many family conversations go, which cousin's balls to break for being the most Chuppy (Chicano-yuppy) because they golf so much and wear polos for fun.
I tell this story to let you know that I think I'm entering my tio era and it doesn't matter much what I call myself. In any situation where I'm going to identify myself, it's just as likely to be a thing because I am on the lighter side. So any interaction usually ends in one of 2 ways: someone feels seen for who they might be, or someone walks away muttering pinche güero under their breath. I'll take the former even if means the latter.

NetIDTLS (a TLS Client Authentication Protocol Tweak) can offer an additional #Identity #Authenticity protocol sitting alongside “rel=me” — for instance.
But... #nomadic #identity, after all, does not have to be built into the protocol to be practically usable. If we base it on domain ownership and the server handles account creation on the user's domain ( #BringYourOwnDomain ) then we pretty much have it done (still a matter of migrating posts but that's already a small problem then).
And such a thing is supported by e.g. the #takahe project, compatible with mastodon api.

The fediverse would be a much more usable, and useful, and diverse, and (in practice) feature-rich, and innovative, and competitive place if everybody implemented something like this! Kudos to you!!
