Saudi Arabian football team that was planned a match with Iranian Sepahan of Isphahan, refused to enter the stadium because of the statue of #IRGC general Qaaemil #Soleimani would not be removed.
The official Twitter/X account of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia claims that the #FIFA rules give them the right and they will not accept the ruling by the referee to give the match 0-3 for Sepahan.

While studying Persian, I was constantly reminded of how even visiting #Iran was a difficult task.
My #Persian teachers were nearly all refugees who could not return.
Most of them were of the Baha'i faith, a non-Islamic religion whose members are heavily persecuted within Iran.
During the first year of my degree, we had planned to visit Tehran.
We spent our first year practicing our colloquial Farsi through role play, where dreams of #Tehran played a big part in our chats.
But then came the missiles that shot down the #Ukraine International Airlines plane.
And one year ago it was discovered that Russia was using Iranian-made Shahed drones to attack Ukraine.
Despite the military support that #Iran has provided Russia, Iran does not recognize the annexation of Crimea, nor have they openly voiced their support of Russia.
The Counteroffensive reached out to the Iranian embassy in Kyiv but did not receive a reply.
Peyman had left #Iran in '15 and initially moved to #Russia.
He later left to continue his studies in #Ukraine.
He still lives there today with his family and is a dentist.
As more news came out, Peyman scanned the list of passengers.
His eyes caught on a familiar name: Pouneh Gourji. His heart skipped a beat.
Pouneh had been a family friend.
Peyman’s sister couldn’t believe it, and made him repeat the message several times.

While the northern parts of Iran trying to dig out of the muds and recover from the worst floods in 100 years, the southern province of Baluchestan is still hammered with a deadly dust storm that has put some 2000 people in hospital.
