I've left #Iceland now, but at some point during the summer I was spending a lot of time with this lake. The shallows were full of tiny fish, then, without any warning, it plummeted deeper than my depth into murky darkness with long tendrils of water weed obscuring where the bottom might have been.

Falling foul of a standard #Scotland #island life situation - we're booked on the next, and final for the day, ferry from #Skye back to the mainland and it's been cancelled.
On the plus side, this isn't the end of the world - we can take the bridge over the Kyle of Lochalsh and drive three sides of a rather large square. We're not actually stranded.
