If you are blessed with a large cranium, as I am, you may be having a difficult time finding #KN95 #masks that fit and are comfortable, now that a lot of sources have disappeared. I can vouch for these. I feel like the adjustable ear loops are key to a good fit.

@JoePajak I have COPD and other factors that put me at high risk for infection and lung damage from pollutants. I wear #N95 or #KN95 or better every time I go somewhere. My spouse and I are usually the only ones masked. I can tell you unequivocally that wearing N95 in times of fire/smoke as well as high virus times will ease, and maybe save, your life.
Welp, today's electrical board replacement now moved to Thurs because electrician not feeling well (GI symptoms). He was here yesterday doing prep. Thankfully he wore respirator (#KN95), as did we when around him. We also ran air purifiers after he left. So here's hoping (1) it's not Covid, (2) the masks worked, (3) he isn't contagious when he's here Thursday to do the job, and (4) he feels better soon. We'll ask him to test before coming. Annual #mammogram this morning at Baystate Health. Waiting room WAY more crowded than I've ever seen it. Nobody masked but me (in #N95) and the patient before me (in #KN95). I had to ask the tech to #MaskUp, and she did without complaint (big surgical). It was hard to push myself to do that, too. Annah Stretton is the one good exception I've found in New Zealand. They have some very nice floral ones. The pink/black florals aren't my thing but the blue/black ones are nice.

I've been fretting for days about a low-grade sore throat, worrying if I got #COVID at the bar mitzvah over the weekend despite aggressively #masking with a #KN95 at all times indoors.
I've been taking COVID tests every day since the weekend, so far negative.
I just realized that the sore throat is probably from the Canadian #wildfire smoke. *sigh*
Nevertheless, I'm going to continue taking COVID tests for a few more days just to be safe.
Another 75 km today and another outstanding ride. My first in a #KN95 #mask (against #wildfire #smoke). Times have changed for sure. Back to the Ellis Swamp area this aft, and north of it for a few km on the #Goderich to #Guelph #Rail #Trail - not a whole pint, sadly, but a nice sip.
I don’t often get up that way owing to prevailing winds. This year is a novel situation, completely different.

I've tried a couple times to look up info on one-way #masking when the potentially infected person is the one wearing a #mask.
I've been finding stuff about one way masking if you're the only one wearing a mask, but that's not what I'm looking for.
My best friend has started to branch out and do a few activities that are too high risk for me, so we're masking around each other. I want to know if it's reasonably safe for me to be unmasked and eating in my own space if he is wearing a #KN95.

I did a Target curbside pickup and saw 2 employees masked, YAY! I have a #kn95 respirator purchasing compulsion. I already have enough to last me till Halloween, and I just bought about a hundred more. Different colors, a number of prints, several vendors. Not unlike my collection of cotton turtleneck shirts, but that’s another story.
Other 2020 anecdotes: spraying down all groceries with Lysol and wrecking the ink on cardboard containers as a result. Sanitizing cloth masks in the damn oven (did it work?? Not sure, but that’s what you have to do when you live in an apt building without laundry). Becoming extremely regimented about washing my hands for at least 20 seconds. When we switched to surgical after my partner’s mom was able to find some and mail them all the way from Tennessee. Then when we switched to #KN95.

@bringbackmasksbc I wear a #FloMask any time I have to go indoors. I did just buy some #RediMask for medical appointments where I have to lay down, since the FloMask seal can break then for me. I carry #3M #Aura #N95 masks with me for any unexpected situations, and also #KN95 ear loop masks for picking up at drive-through windows (easy to get on fast, and I can quickly ventilate by opening car windows). So the type of mask I choose depends on the situation, but I always mask!!

At the pharmacy this morning, wearing my #EnvoMask and sealed 3M goggles, I ask the technician who hands me my meds if she knows about the limitations of her cloth mask. The pharmacist isn't wearing a mask at all and so I figured she's trying to protect herself--sensibly so.
"I just wear what I've got," she replies.
"Well, the #KN95 is widely available," I say. Not the best choice, but way better.

If the stifling feeling is specifically associated with headstraps for you, they could be too tight. Aura 3M has simple band elastic straps that lengthen with a good hard tug. This is a pro in this situation for you.
For straps that don't lengthen so easily, consider an #N95 with braided elastic such as Vitacore's #Can99.
Vitacore's Can99 also has superb breathability so if the problem isn't the attachments, this might help.

Cloth & surgical junk masks are 30% effective -- better than nothing.
#N95 and reusable #P100 #elastomeric #respirators are >95% effective -- MUCH better. And they're cheap enough.
Step one is to get a quality #respirator #mask -- #N95, #N99. #P100, #KN95, #KF94, #FFP2, #FFP3, #P3 -- I prefer #elastomeric P100.
Step two is to wear it ( #WearAMask ) when around other people, because anyone could be infected.
Step three is to put a #HEPA filter or #CorsiRosenthalBox in your home (and business if you have one).

@Billius27 I am fully #vaxxed/#boosted, still wearing my #KN95 #masks. I deliver with #DoorDash so I see how decimated the drug stores are for #cough and cold meds when I do #ShopAndDeliver orders. It's bad out there. I wear my mask to protect those I'm delivering to as well as myself.
I'm not a "Mask Holdout!" Geez-Louise! I'm a Thoughtful Human being.
The inconvenience of wearing a #KN95 is minimal for not having to deal with #COVID19 symptoms, which while not often deadly anymore, or can be far worse than flu or cold symptoms.
Best part: I haven't had the flu or a cold since 2019. I will always wear a mask in cold season, just like the east Asians have been doing for decades: courtesy and self-protection.
If you have a problem with masks, don't force your issues upon me!

I bought some unicorn #masks (*sigh*) for the #5yo, who does not love the plain white #kf94 masks that she's been using.
One set of masks is certified #KN95, but the ear loop is slightly too big. The other set of masks fits perfectly, but even though it's a kf94 style, it does not have a kf94 certification. Interestingly, it has a T/GDMDMA 0005-2020 #certification, which I hadn't seen before.
It appears to be a chinese standard specifically for #KidMasks.
Somehow, my partner avoided #COVID, #Flu, + #RSV while visiting family. #KF94 + #Novavax helped!
My younger sister, whose dorm recently had a #SarsCov2 outbreak, also managed to avoid getting sick with constant #KN95 masking in class + in all buildings + in suite; #TrueHEPA for #CleanAir [moved it into the bathroom when showering]; all windows open for #Ventilation. Never eats indoors, nor socializes maskless.

I always #mask with a #KN95 or better. (I like #N95 the best.) Not only indoors in public spaces, but with the newer varients, outdoors in public spaces, too. It's not hard. We all deserve #access and safety!

Update: shaved to a #1 (3 mm). They both #masks still failed, but the #N95 did better than before. Probably comparable between the the N95 and #KN95.
