Honest question - like... 90% of the #LGBTQIA I know talk about their first romantic feelings and crushes being someone famous. Am I alone here?
It is almost *always* an actor, comedian, a singer, a politician, or maybe a teacher or even a fellow child.
I won't speak for others, but I remember being like... *very* young when I figured out there were hands out there I just *had* to hold that didn't ever want to hold a hand like mine.

I'm overdue for my bi-monthly ceramic work share (I just made that up, but it feels appropriate because I seemed to post here about once every other month or so).

I woke up thinking about Flip Wilson...Which lead to "Geraldine"....Yeah, I am old. Though I was a wee baby when he was at the height of his career. There were always reruns!! There are plenty of people who know enough about trans people where I'm just not going to waste my time walking someone through the basics in friendship after friendship, or much less even an acquaintance or something. People can either be with the program or they're not ready to be in my life and they need to do their own research on how to interact with trans people
FYI to allies: if you ask for my deadname, pre transition pics, etc so much as once β even if you back down immediately after I say no and never ever ask again or investigate or look into it β 99% chance I'm just going to go "okay, this friendship is over"

Yesterday was... an internal rollercoaster... It started with sitting up bolt upright in bed at 3am. I don't remember the specifics of the dream but it brought back memories from almost 25 years ago. And I sat down to my blog and poured out some memories from 1998/99 that I had all but shuttered away.
