Technology certainly has come a long way since #Koyaanisqatsi was released in 1982. This new film by Godfrey Reggio is another masterpiece. Personally I think nothing can compare to the original Qatsi Trilogy. Still, Once Within a Time should not be missed..

There’s an old seemingly abandoned church on the Old Lamy Trail which I’ve been wondering about since years. We finally got a chance to go inside today. There’s a fundraising event with local musicians performing at this location. What a great turnout!

Good morning from Eldorado..

Yesterday afternoon we went down to Lamy to enjoy the live music by Johnny Lloyd and Eryn Bent. Met a few fellow who recently moved to Lamy. Quite uncharacteristically we shared some of life stories with him. I suppose we felt comfortable with him.

At the bar we saw one of the original bartenders when this bar used to be Chili Line Brewery. We were genuinely glad for we haven’t seen him since #COVID changed everyone’s life..

I hope it’s true and they make it here. The previous French restaurant was, how do I put it.. had quite mixed reviews and eventually closed down. We’ve been to Madame Matisse in Santa Fe a few times and we enjoyed it every time. My companion is now concerned about his possible weight gain for all the pastries they would be offering so close to home..

Our neighbors have either AC or Swamp Cooler system. It never crossed our mind that our house could get this hot and all we have are old fashion fans. Today’s high is supposed to reach 96°F and it will be even higher next week. I’ve partially blocked our sky lights and am keeping all the windows closed and shades down. Please tell me this temperature is not normal in New Mexico..

Just signed another year of contract with #Comcast #Xfinity recently and am already regretting it and looking for alternatives for the future. We don’t watch the majority of the channels they include and yet their fees are only going higher and higher. #Internet is interrupted once in a while but we can live with that.. and the so-called landline depends on the internet. I’m not even sure why we are having it anymore..

A hint of rainbow
A couple evenings ago a dark cloud promised but failed to produce rain (virga). When it passed over my valley all I got was a few drops. As it headed east, cloud and virga werestruck golden by the setting sun, and I was further gifted with a faint rainbow. Look carefully, it's there to the right of the windmill.
