Coding question: my Ms14 wants to learn to code for gaming. She feels that the learning process through tools like Unity and Swift Playgrounds doesn’t feel like it’s teaching her to “write code”, which is what she wants to focus on. I don’t know where to point her for that kind of raw language learning, and I’m struggling to grasp why she’s not keen on friendly graphical tools. Any advice? #learntocode #code #swift #unity #gamedev

Everyone, no matter what kind of work they do, should learn at least the basics of programming. I used to work in IT and have a very basic understanding of Python, but I use it kind of regularly in my current job.
I use it to batch convert audio files, extract text and images from pdfs, I use it with opensource projects to use machine learning to enhance audio to remove background noise and to transcribe text from an audio file.

How can you use #dotnet to cache data in memory and update it in the background? :dotnet: 🛠️
Of course, there are already sophisticated solutions for this. But I wanted to try a few things myself (#learntocode). And I had fun to write a small minimal API example for it 🙂
You can find my result here: https://frank.woopec.net/2023/03/18/background-service-in-mem-cache.html
