Das Gerücht hat sich bestätigt. Es ist Freitag und damit natürlich #Fensterfreitag

Noch haben wir das Wetter für solche Motive und dann nutzen wir es auch. Mit reichlich grün geht es in das Wochenende.

Blick auf ein Metallsprossenfenster, wo die meisten Scheiben zerstört sind. Auf der Rückseite des Fensters wächst ein junger Baum und seine Zweige ragen zum Teil durch die Fensteröffnungen.

As much as I love the shooting experience of my #Leica M rangefinder, one really annoying thing is that when the rangefinder mechanism is off and needs readjusting, they can't do that in-store in London.

My M-P is being sent off the Germany now to have the rangefinder readjusted. Sad times - it means I'll be going for around three months without it, apparently.

Well, at least I've still got my M3!

Choice of what cam to bring to shoot #NorthernLights in #Iceland has been limited by a technical hitch.

Was going to bring #Leica M-P 240 with me, with a 135mm lens. But I found that I could not focus with it with the rangefinder at all. I thought it was the lens which was slightly out, but it turns out that it was the rangefinder being slightly out.

I just hadn't noticed because I shoot mainly with wide angle lenses which are more forgiving in terms of focus / depth of field.

Es gibt eine jahrhundertealte Tradition, die da lautet: Freitag ist #Fensterfreitag. 😆

Ich bin ja ein Fan von Spiegelungen. Bei diesem Fenster ist das Glas schon zig Jahre alt. Das Glas aus dieser Zeit ist oft sehr wellig und damit entstehen schöne Verzerrungen.

Blick durch ein Fenster in das Innere einer Baracke. Dort ist ein weiteres Fenster, auf der Rückseite des Gebäudes, zu sehen. Im Fenster spiegeln sich weitere Fenster von einem parallelen Gebäude (im Rücken des Fotografen). Weil die Scheibe des Fenster sehr alt ist und deshalb wellig, verzerrt sich das Spiegelbild entsprechend.

I love all of the random things that can happen when you develop film. While there are many avenues to 'screw up', I would argue that after doing this for 6 months I actually enjoy the imperfections and surprises. For digital perfection, I've got my DSLR.

But C-41 processing and then hanging negs in a closet with dust accidentally -> made a photo that looks like stars.

I like it.

Just got back from a weekend in Wales shooting downhill longboarding and street luge.

To say it was a "productive" weekend would be an understatement. I just hope some of these shots are good!

I finally own an Amedeo adapter to mount #Contax lenses on a #Leica.

And yes, the absurdity of using a $400 adapter to use a $50 lens on a $700 camera is not lost on me, but hey. The results speak for themselves.

(...also, I do own more Contax lenses, so it's not quite as silly as it may seem!)

Gerade auf die #Pixii gestoßen, eine Rangefinder-Kamera für #Leica M-Mount. Unterstützt nur manuellen Fokus, volle Konzentration auf die Fotografie ansich. Klingt ja erstmal auch alles ganz nett.

Aber kaum Drehräder und Knöpfe? Wirkt fast, als müsste man zusätzlich ständig das Smartphone in Händen halten.

Hat die jemand und kann etwas zur Bedienung erzählen?
