John Paschoud, councillor for Perry Vale ward, accused Julia Webb of the Bell Green Neighbourhood Forum of attempting to attack him and having to be held back by council staff.
Ms Webb said the claims were untrue and lodged a complaint against him.
A council investigation dismissed the complaint, despite finding that there was ‘no evidence the Complainant [Ms Webb] had to be physically restrained’.

Crazy Tyres were fined £758 for blocking this cycle lane in Catford. As you can see from the sign it forces cyclists into riding the wrong way on a one-way road off the South Circular.
Bang to rights and a rare accolade to the none too cycle friendly Lewisham Council.
Hence if you see a vehicle blocking a solisd line cycle lane take photos, maybe warn the driver, and if repeated report to Lewisham.

I was part of the #savethegreyhound campaign led by the #SydenhamSociety. It succeeded the pub was rebuilt 'brick-by-brick' and is thriving today.
We didn't expect to win. We were lucky. Everybody knew the owners had demolished the pub illegally. The company directors were local and could be held to account. We had great local support and #Lewisham Council then had the will and the money to fight a long and difficult court case.

Today's ride was 27 miles on the Brommie from Enfield Lock to Sydenham via the Woolwich ferry. Remarkably for a ride from North to South London 95% was off-road mostly canal path and the Green way.

This peculiar pavilion, seen here c1908, stood at the Woolstone Road ground of Sydenham Cricket Club in south London. The club was established in 1872 - members held it to be the third oldest club in the south of the capital - as Kelvin CC.

Fash demo this morning at #HonorOak pub Lewisham, the pub hosts a drag queen storytime. Organised by TurningPointUK - a pretend student organisation, their membership mainly being over 40 yo. Absolutely drowned out and outnumbered by counter-protesters.
Fake vicar Calvin Robinson was there and had "you're not a real vicar" sang at him to drown out his shite. Roy Brinkley showed up in his army hat to yell about 15 min cities and pothole conspiracies. Not welcome.
I got off the train at Grove Park Station and immediately saw signs for the #CapitalRing walk. There is also a wonderful Railway Children mural. The book’s author Edith Nesbit lived in the area, and the location is thought to be inspired by her walks to Grove Park nature reserve.

They didn't even get that much backlash, as the traffic is often already gridlocked every day and it was like that 25 years ago.
(when my parents lived there in the 1970s, they didn't have a car and it didn't stop me getting to childcare/playgroup, it was within walking distance)

protest was necessary but both sides fought their corners hard, and it meant the young immigrant families antifa genuinely hoped to help still felt unsafe as it was clear from the level of action the community was that divided.
My parents left Lewisham that year, moved to Reading (40km west) where they remained for the rest of their lives.
