Vervielfältigen öffnet einen Dialog? Ich will _schnell_ eine Kopie eines Objekts erzeugen, nicht noch einen Dialog mit Enter bestätigen.
Erst umständlicher Shortcut mit Umschalt-F3, dann noch bestätigen mit Enter.
Visio hat das mit Strg-D in _einem_ einfachen Tastendruck.

Öfter mal was neues. Will ich #LibreOffice öffnen (und das hatte ich heute schon offen gehabt), passiert einfach nix. Wenn ich versuche, Calc einzeln zu starten, zeigt sich ganz kurz ein Fensterrahmen, dann isser wieder weg. Die Logs in /var/log schweigen. Das .xsession-errors im ~/ sagt nicht mehr als „Application error“. Einen Zombie von LO gibt es in der Prozeßliste nicht.
Ja, es ist Sonntag, aber trotzdem würd ich gern mein Haushaltsbuch aufmachen können. 😉

#LibreOffice hat einfach eine riesige Userbase. Auch wenn immer wieder Bugs kommen und verschwinden ist es doch ein recht zuverlässiges Paket. Kompatibilität mit Microsoft Produkten ist mir egal. Wenn ich das brauche mein Arbeitgeber zahlt das Abo für den externen Microsoft Exchange Service und hat damit die Verantwortung bei Pannen ausgelagert, was ja auch verständlich ist. Privat nein Danke, meine Daten gehen niemanden etwas an. Darum LibreOffice mit der tollen Community dahinter.

In einem #Serienbrief, mit Daten aus einer Abfrage in einer #LibreOffice #Base. Ich hab ein Feld "Mitglieder". Und möchte nun im "Druck" (Ich generier Dateien) die *letzte* Seite des Dokumentes um die doppelte Anzahl der Mitglieder in der Ausgabe vervielfachen.
Sprich, ich hab 6 Seiten Dokument, für die Adresse ist die Zahl Mitglieder 4, dann möchte ich ein Dokument mit 5 + 4*2, also 13 Seiten erhalten, wovon die Seiten 6 bis 13 dieselben sind.
Geht das irgendwie? Wie?

Après des mois à galérer, je viens de trouver une méthode rapide pour convertir une plage de cellules contenant des nombres au format texte (typique quand on récupère un CSV depuis Framaforms par exemple) en vrais nombres avec lesquels on peut effectuer des calculs.
(passer les cellules en format nombre ne suffit pas).

The #WebP buffer overflow bug that caused all the major browsers to issue patches earlier this week (e.g. #Firefox 117.0.1) also affects applications built with Electron. #1Password issued an update today for their Mac build.
The CVE affects the underlying webp library, not just web browsers, so this will be an ongoing issue.

"There are a lot of applications that use libwebp to render WebP images, I already mentioned a few of them, but some of the others that I know include: #Affinity (the design software), #Gimp, #Inkscape, #LibreOffice, #Telegram, #Thunderbird (now patched), #ffmpeg, and many, many #Android applications as well as cross-platform apps built with #Flutter."

Tout ce que je constate, c'est qu'un "ai.exe" ralentit fortement mon travail (sans parler du thread que je viens d'écrire au lieu de bosser...) et ça c'est pas cool.
Résultat, je vais retourner travailler avec #LibreOffice .
Et faute de plus d'informations de la part de Microsoft, je ne peux que vous enjoindre à faire de même.

Immer wenn ich gefragt werde warum wir #libreoffice und #nextcloud nutzen obwohl es doch so "kompliziert" sei, antworte ich gerne mit "Eines Tages wird es von heute auf morgen in vielen Organisationen heißen "die Nutzung von #MS365 ist ab sofort zu unterlassen". Und dann fragen wir uns warum alle anderen so fluchen"^^ Vielleicht sind wir dem Tag näher als ich selbst dachte.
Infuriating to find that #LibreOffice, on which I created the 13 Mb, 64 slide deck for my #SVPCA talk, cannot export it as a PDF: it crashes every time, even when I save my PPTX as an ODP, quit, open the ODP and try to export from that.
I am running LibreOffice v7.6.0.3 on Mac OS X 12.6.8.
Anyone have any ideas?

@siem this "meme" is mostly a stab at their unwillingness to declare #OpenOffice dead.
The last major release was 10y ago, current releases are full of deficiencies/bugs/security issues.
Its de-facto successor #LibreOffice is alive and well.
And still, they refuse to point potential users (for many of whom #OpenOffice is still the go-to-name for "the free Office alternative") to @tdforg and their well-maintained @libreoffice instead.
So users end up with outdated, insecure software instead.
