It is cold and rainy today (which is good because we desperately need the rain, and the hail's all been out east of here). So Orion's been very snuggly for the last few days.
He's sitting in my lap and he just leaned against my chest, so I gave him a hug. And he let loose the biggest snorf sound. He even surprised himself, I think.
He sits there and whines at me. Yes he has had lunch. Early. Yes the slider to the deck is open. Yes he has a bazillion toys to play with. Yet there he sits. #CatsOfMastodon #LifeWithCats

I spoke too soon. He ate just a bit of yesterday's breakfast then nothing but freeze dried salmon & chicken treats for the rest of the day. Now he's back to how he was on Wednesday & no breakfast--not even going to his feeder. Of course today is Saturday & his regular vet practice is closed & any treatment will have to be at the emergency vet that costs 3x normal. #CatsOfMastodon #LifeWithCats

It's really hard to type on a laptop when a large cat wearing a plastic cone around his neck also insists on being in your lap at the same time.
My cat is trying to drop my sneakers from the shelf because he wants to bite them (I kept them on the shelf to prevent the exact thing)

As usual, day late. My needy baby boy is not happy I won't let him lay on my lap. So he's sulking against my notes (that haven't started yet since he's super cute.) Also he's not laying down. He's leaning against that blanket behind him and just has his face jammed in my notebook.
I wanted to use this evening for #FAWM songs. Hermine the cat has other ideas, like plunking down on my lap as I sat down to call my mom earlier and not leaving anytime soon.

My work day began with a 10 minute struggle to un-zoom my computer screen, which was mysteriously stuck in SUPERMEGAHUGE EVERYTHING mode.
In related news, it was super-cold last night, and I failed to close the laptop while also I leaving the office door open to keep warm air circulating.
Kill me now. It's Saturday night and I'm propped up in bed, watching Midsomer Murders and holding hands (paw) with a cat. All I need now is one of those pink, frilly bed jackets.
