I just finished reading #Movement by Thalia Verkade and Marco te Brommelstroet. In it, they ask the question: What are our streets FOR? We've kind of accepted that our streets, just like roads, are strictly for moving cars as quickly and efficiently as possible, but do we really want that? Do we want to forfeit that much public land exclusively to motor transport? Are we satisfied that we can't let our kids walk to school, or learn to ride a bike, or play street hockey in their own neighborhoods because we literally fear for their lives? Why are we so eager to go from A to B as fast as possible anyway? It's an excellent #book.

Windows Defender Credential Guard uses virtualization-based security (#VBS) to isolate secrets such as #NTLM password hashes, #Kerberos #TGTs, or domain credentials stored by applications so that only a privileged system can access these secrets.
With Windows Defender Credential Guard enabled, the LSA process in the operating system talks to a new component called the isolated #LSA process that stores and protects those secrets. Data stored by the isolated LSA process is protected using virtualization-based security and isn't accessible to the rest of the operating system. LSA uses remote procedure calls to communicate with the isolated LSA process.
When Windows Defender Credential Guard is enabled, NTLMv1, MS-CHAPv2, Digest, and CredSSP can't use the signed-in credentials. Thus, single sign-on doesn't work with these protocols. And Kerberos doesn't allow unconstrained Kerberos delegation or DES encryption, not only for signed-in credentials, but also prompted or saved credentials.
Credential Guard is active by default on Windows 11 22H2 (or later) Enterprise and Education editions.

To this day, if I realize I’m in a downward spiral I bring my attention to my next decision. (“Realize” being the important word there. I am too often actually in a downward spiral without realizing it is so.) Left foot, or right foot next? Take a nap, or continue what I’m doing? What’s the smallest next thing I can do, which would be a positive? Maybe the best thing I can do is to simply cease everything and pause.
Bodies start to hurt when they aren’t moved enough, but also because when they are moved, some parts aren’t moving with ease. This then makes it harder to move enough, and our movements get more diminished, immobility and pain arises, and we think it’s all inevitable.

I find it empowering to know that making small, simple decisions about movement can profoundly affect my overall health and mobility. I’m not taking Bowman’s word for it though (she does have lots of great things to say about movement) I’ve simply taken note of what happens. Sometimes (often?) the better, small choice is the slightly more difficult now option. As Jerzy Gregorek put it, “easy choices, hard life. Hard choices, easy life.” Choose wisely.

A #CradleCatholic. A #LapsedCatholic? As a wee lad, I did all the stuff - Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation. I was born here all my life. When I was around four years old, the church kicked out my mom and, by extension, my family. An #ExcludedCatholic? I explored other practices and faiths, #meditation, #yoga, #Buddhism, and all the things. I wanted to not convert to a religion or practice that I had not been born to or wasn't otherwise ancestrally connected. I explored Protestant fellowships but soon began seeking "the deeper things" back in the lives of saints. This led to a deep dive into the #EarlyChurch Fathers and early #ChurchHistory. Entering the #OrthodoxChurch, I lived in several monasteries and wandered around the US like the guy in Way of a Pilgrim. I was ultimately drawn to #Theosis and the #PrayerOfTheHeart, sometimes called the #JesusPrayer. That church became tedious as well. Long story short, decades later, a pandemic, and a few ends of the world here I am. I recently stumbled across a podcast called the #PopeFrancisGeneration. I'm intrigued. I am listening. Let's see where my current studies lead.

Throughout 2021, at least 38 white supremacist groups distributed propaganda, but three groups – Patriot Front, New Jersey European Heritage Association (#NJEHA) and Folkish Resistance Movement (#FRM formerly known as Folksfront) – were responsible for 91 percent of the activity.
As was the case in both 2019 and 2020, Texas-based #Patriot #Front was responsible for the vast majority of propaganda distributions. As revealed in their communications, leaked by Unicorn Riot in January 2022, these high propaganda numbers are driven by a weekly propaganda quota which members are required to meet.
Patriot Front was behind 3,992 of the incidents in 2021–more than 82 percent of incidents nationally – distributing propaganda in every state except Hawaii and Alaska. The group was most active in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Massachusetts, Texas and Maryland, and members were responsible for 190 of the 232 (or 82 percent) of distributions on college #campuses, as well as the majority (or 94 percent) of white supremacist stenciled #graffiti.
#New #Jersey #European #Heritage #Association was responsible for 219 propaganda incidents in 2021, roughly five percent of the total propaganda activity nationwide, a 57 percent drop-off from their 2020 efforts. In 2021, its propaganda was recorded in 28 states but most frequently reported in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Florida.
#NJEHA distributes explicitly white supremacist propaganda often focused on white victimization or targeting various groups including #Jewish people, #Black people, immigrants or the #LGBTQ community. Some of its 2021 propaganda read, "There is a war on whites," "They hate you for being white," "Stop the Third World invasion of America," “There are only two genders,” “Black crimes matter,” “Why are Jews censoring free speech?” and “Antifa is a Jewish communist militia.” They also distributed propaganda co-opted from the #Goyim #Defense #League, an antisemitic network in which some NJEHA members and associates participate.
#Folkish #Resistance #Movement (#FRM) was responsible for the third highest number of propaganda incidents in 2021 and 50 percent of antisemitic propaganda incidents in 2021. The group’s propaganda was recorded in 19 states but was found most frequently in Minnesota, Mississippi, Arizona, Colorado and Texas.
Formed as #Folksfront in early 2019 and rebranded as #FRM in late 2021, FRM distributes propaganda that often features crossed eiwaz runes fashioned to resemble a #swastika and explicit white supremacist slogans such as “Our blood is our faith, our nation is our race” and “Blood and soil.” Some of FRM’s antisemitic propaganda features a broken Star of David and reads “Break debt slavery” or “Resist Zionism.”

You can’t experience that and expect to come out unscathed. Of course your body is feeling all that. We can’t ignore what our bodies are. We have them to feel with. If we don’t let them feel the grief, horror, terror, and emotional pain that come with being a modern person in a dysfunctional society, we will develop big problems.
Stress is a huge deal–unprocessed stress is a pandemic health issue.
I believe that most of what’s considered mental illness is actually a totally sense-making response to violence. That’s part of radical mental health. The solution in my opinion isn’t to medicate feelings away–the solution is to change the world. But while we work on that, our bodies are taking a huge hit.
I love ecstatic dance as remedy. My body needs to be allowed to feel. Trying to kill feelings with pills is an emergency measure that creates more harm, not a long term solution. Ecstatic dance is a safe way to allow my body to have a big reaction.
What if doctors prescribed dance, touch, sunshine, and pleasure? That would have good side effects, and there’s nothing to purchase. Capitalism is not furthered by authentic, self-knowledge based, realistic embodied self-love care. So I prescribe dance, touch, sunshine, and pleasure to myself.
My body needs to have a big reaction to big harms. But it’s not appropriate in most situations to respond immediately. Blowing up at a meeting is not ok. Yelling at people is just passing along harm and frowned upon. I often take the harm and crawl away to safely process it on my own.
But I can’t think my way out of the violence that’s done to me. For healing, all of me needs to be involved, but especially my body. It’s actually not safe, to drag myself to an isolated place to quietly suffer alone. I need movement and community.

My name is Melvin (they/them), #AuDHD, & I'm happy to be in a space populated by other neurodivergent folks 😺 .
I've had a muuuch higher success rate in harmonious relationships with other ND folks (& queer folks, which is the uniting factor of the other server I'm on).
I doubted the validity of my "membership" to both these groups for a long time (imposter syndrome, anyone?), but having that self-knowledge in the last few years has really helped me get my life set up in a somewhat manageable way -- e.g. finding covid-cautious, very quiet & non-judgmental folks to live with (they're both queer and #AuDHD! It's *not* perfect but it's SAFE) and making a new irl friendship back in February with yet another queer, AuDHD person, which has been so great; we met on OkCupid where I occasionally have a profile for the sole purpose of finding new friends (I hate dating and consider myself #GrayAce, but I DO really wanna find meaningful friendships that might still be around 10 years from now 🤞) since it offers a heavy filtration system and the opportunity to discuss covid precautions BEFORE being physically near one another.

Clinical psych is mainly white middle-class women oriented and many #Black #BIPOC /asylum seekers won't get mental health help. We need to look at #music, #dance, #movement #innerWisdom as a way to promote #mentalHealth. I try to play matchmaker, finding #grants but I'd like to see #funders devote #funding to #innovative & #inclusive work
