Huge relief is hearing today that I'm permanently excused from #jury service on medical grounds. I had an unexpected call last week to serve on a jury, but with a #progressive #neuro disease leaving me largely #bedbound and #sleeping up to 18 hours per day I was totally unfit for this. Being in #Scotland I needed a medical letter/certificate from my #GP supporting this. All sorted now, and confirmed today by the #Forfar #court. Thanks so much. A good news story. Eight year old Aditi Shankar’s immune system was “reprogrammed” after a stem cell transplant and as a result her body accepted a donor kidney as its own. ▫️ My ex- had breast cancer earlier this year, I drove her to the operations personally (she's clear now)
▫️ My best female friend from university died of breast cancer before 40
▫️ Last and certainly least, I had an NHS breast recall myself a few months ago after a routine mammogram. It involved the "triple test", including a biopsy. Yes it's scary waiting to find out, but I'm now glad I went through this
