Once dusk has given way to true darkness, the majestic #TheKelpies dominate the Scottish sky.

This is a photo of The Kelpies as dusk turns to darkness.

The Kelpies are 30 metre-high metal sculptures of two horses' heads, built as a public art installation at The Helix in Falkirk.

At night, they're illuminated from within, the lattice metalwork allowing the light to pour out.

Against the dark Scottish sky, the detail really stands out.

The sculptures change colour constantly, gradually fading into reds and blues before coming back together to be lit synchronously in white.

The light from the sculptures is so bright, it spills out to light up the specially-constructed canal lock basin that they reside within.

It's pretty cool how cars can have different colour headlights.

A wet road at night reflects any lighting that touches it, barely any lighting fixtures around, but three cars are coming down it and lighting up the area. The headlights of the cars also lighting up the rain in front of them.

This is a photo of The Kelpies: two 30 metre (100 ft) high horse head metallic sculptures installed at The Helix in Falkirk, Scotland.

They're an incredibly popular attraction at dusk (when this photo was taken) because they light up in ever-changing colours. The illumination provides a great contrast with the sky at dusk, and also spills over to light their setting too.

The Milwaukee Art Museum is an iconic structure on Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The iconic addition was completed in 2001 and was designed by Santiago Calatrava. The Burke Brise Soleil "wings" forms a moveable sunscreen and will close automatically if winds exceed 23 mph for more than 3 minutes. I was thrilled to see the wings were open when I visited after dark. The museum is reflected in the art museum's fountain pond.

PJ's Paradigm Mall converted their rooftop parking for the Malay-Thai food fair (one of northeast peninsula coast cuisine types) for the weekend. There are other food vendors too, and also a petting zoo and some other random products. In the dimly lit part of the rooftop parking, the neon glow of the kiddy cars (lit up from within and coming thru the candy-coloured plastic shells) stand out.
