My son told me he had an alarm set for 4:30am so he could go out and photograph the moon. Whilst on a dog walk the evening prior, I saw it was up already.
Had not realised my son was planning on using my old Nikon camera, so went with him, a tripod and an almost empty battery.
I don’t think we did too bad given I haven’t touched a DSLR in probably four years and he was hoping to point and shoot.

Working on a project and went back to some of my pictures I made in Antelope Canyon. Even after several years, this place just amazes me.
The Navajo guide I was with, a photographer also, told me those canyons taught him more about light, layers and textures than anything else he had ever photographed.

I haven't gotten many wildlife shots during my trips to Ireland because I'm busy doing touristy things, but there was this one particular gull by the side of the road who wouldn't stop squawking, so I snapped its pic. I think that's an irritated parent in the background.

I don’t need any wild shutter speeds or video capabilities.
Clean low-light and long-exposure shots are important.
Resolution-wise, I need to be able to make high quality 11x17 prints.
I’m most comfortable with Nikon and #Olympus but not married to any brand.
I LOVE the #design of the #Nikon Zfc, but do worry that the lack of a grip could be a problem.
I lean towards the practicality of an older camera and more lenses.
It’s time to get a decent interchangeable lens camera again.
My budget is around $1000, but I could wait a few months and save up more for a truly amazing upgrade.
The problem is that I can’t decide if I want to…
A. Get a recent entry-level / prosumer DSLR or mirrorless camera (likely used) with a basic prime and macro lens.
B. Get an older pro-level camera and several lenses. All used, but likely high quality due to their initial expense.
Nature made a watercolor and I was lucky enough to find it.

The other two cameras I would consider in lieu of an X100V haven't been announced: A7Cii (#Sony's AF is amazing and this is the most portable FF camera) and the #Nikon Z6iii (currently have a D750; but need better Nikon AF before I upgrade). #photography
Experimenting with a “vintage” lens. Nikon 300mm f4 @ an OM Systems OM-5 with the metabones 0.71x focal reducer so effectively an 425mm f2.8 on my m43 body.
I need a lot more practice focussing it manually; there is a viltrox focal reducer that should work with its autofocus but that I don’t have.
