On this day 25 years ago in 1998. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was first released for the Nintendo 64. On November 21st, 1998 in Japan, the game saw its very first release. I want to celebrate this game’s very first release with a pic of my likeness🙂. #likeness #aiart #stablediffusion #zelda #gaming #gamer #gamergirl #venus #blonde #legendofzelda #nintendo #ocarinaoftime #legendofzeldaocarinaoftime #link #nintendo64

👾 Happy Sunday Funday Retro Gamers! Today I pulled a couple of N64 games off my shelf. Cruis'n USA & Cruis'n World. I love these games. I'd rank them in my favorite racing games list. idk y but they always were a lot of fun.
Para los viejos otakus del lugar. Mi TIL de hoy.
¡He acertado! El ending de Card Captor Sakura "Groovy" es Kōmi Hirose.
Que es la misma que canta "Get Down" o lo que es lo mismo, el meme de Goldeneye 007 de la Nintendo 64.
¡Qué viejo soy!
👾 Hey Retro Gamers, today's game pull from my shelf is 2 versions of N64's Pokemon Snap. Both the USA & JPN versions. So many days were spent playing this game. 😂
🎮🍄 This weekend, a game of Super Mario 64 would be great, wouldn't it? 😃 Or maybe The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Banjo-Kazooie, Mario Kart 64, and GoldenEye 007?
🗺 The Nintendo 64 console from 1996 contributed to the flourishing of advanced 3D games and also caught the attention of emulator developers, starting with the technologically advanced UltraHLE just 3 years later.
👾 Hello Retro Gamers! Today's pull off my shelf is N64's Extreme-G and 1080 Snowboarding! Two great games. 1080 is one of my favorite N64 sports games. Highly recommended! Extreme-G is like #fzero .

👾 Hey Retro fans, here are a couple more games from my collection. Anyone ever play Excitebike 64 or California Speed?
Excitebike64 I would spend hours building a custom track and racing it with my cousin. Every time my cousin would spend the night, we stayed up all night playing this game!
California Speed I actually remember playing it at the movie theater arcade once. I was racing the roller coaster track & I thought it was so cool how it starts out like a normal racing game then half way thru the course it goes into a totally unique course design. I begged & begged to get this game & finally that year for my birthday I got it from my grandma! Spoiled - yes! #GoodTimes
The #Nintendo64 & #SegaSaturn cores for #MiSTer are coming along so nicely I'm super excited! I've never owned (or really played for that matter) an N64 so it'll be nice to discover that. Glad I picked up the N64 controller recently to use with it!

Imagine being a huge fan of Quake II in the late 90s and not knowing that Nintendo 64 version had an entirely unique campaign until over two decades later.
Say what you will about #Bethesda and #Microsoft (they sure have issues), but this spruced up version of Quake II (which I got for free) is a heck of a thing. Old content, new content, restored content...!
Anyway, the #N64 campaign? It's really good! Easy final boss, though.
I lost my childlike innocence when i realized that none of the enemy pilots in #starfox ever eject from their ships.
All of the bosses yell things at you over their comm line before their ships explode, but none of them eject or escape.
I was like 10 before i realized how grim that was
Boxes, manuals, and poster inserts rescued from a garden shed. No N64 carts, but the Gameboy carts are definitely still in storage somewhere around here. So far, it seems like every game still has its manual.
I have no idea what these are worth to N64 people, and I'm in Australia, so unfortunately postage will be an issue for getting these to above-sphere people at nominal prices. But please do chime in if there's something here that is absolutely pulling your heart strings. Note these are also all PAL versions.
In my ongoing search for missing game boxes in my childhood home, I've found a large bag of N64 game boxes and instruction manuals (I gave the N64 itself and all the cartridges away to someone, many, many years ago.) Given that there's presumably N64 collectors who have cartridges but no packaging, I wonder if there's an interest in these. I'll post the list if anyone is curious!

It's time to talk about games so let's make a #10gamestoknowme Without order and without relationship, because that's how I am, a chaos

In preparation for the arrival of my #anbernic #rg35xx I've been building an SD Card full of #roms. To test it I've been using an old #AndroidOne #MotoX4, and I've got to say; #retroGames on #android is pretty fucking great! I'm playing #Nintendo64 / #Playstation on four year old hardware.
The #Nintendo64 console had many titles that displayed objects using Gouraud shading. Super Mario 64 is probably the most used example here.
Can you spot the Gouraud shading in Mario's gloves?
My favourite game on each platform I've owned. #ShareYourGames

Note to XBOX players: If you already own #RareReplay, Goldeneye 007 will be made available to you for free! Not only will it also be available on #XBOXGamePass but Rare Replay is backwards compatible on XBOX.
Confirmed: a port of the 1997 GoldenEye 007 Nintendo game will be coming to Xbox.
Rumor: it may arrive on Xbox GamePass by the end of January
Why does it matter? #GoldenEye007 is the third best-selling Nintendo 64 game of all time and is considered one of the most influential FPS games. Fans were hoping for a port for a very long time, it's finally happening :n64:
Ah, Starfox 64.. I was visiting my grandmother in California when this came out, and thankfully my dad had the foresight to bring our #Nintendo64 with us on our trip. First game to use (and come with!) the Rumble Pak. I still remember my first couple of playthroughs with this game and even discovering the secret HARD missions. Good times. From Nintendo Power Issue 98, July 1997.
