After her five-floor-fall at the weekend, I took little #NyushaTheCat to the vet yesterday, and they couldn’t find anything wrong with here either. Her little grazed nose is healing up and playtime is back 😊 I can’t believe she survived. No idea. 🫣

Nyusha disappeared from our balcony for 36 hours and was eventually found perfectly healthy under a car just outside. We live on the 5th floor!
She's happy to be home, though Albee isn't so sure. He was just getting used to having the place to himself again.

We properly introduced #AlbeeTheCat and #NyushaTheCat for the first time today. Although they were aware of each other before, they hadn't had more than a few seconds together.
So today, we allowed Nyusha out for 5-10 mins every hour, while Albee looked on sceptically. But by 4pm, they were both together in the same room for much longer. Not yet friends, but Albee's definitely not nearly as upset by his territory being intruded on.
Beautiful Nyusha came to us from a shelter in #Ukraine. There were always a lot of #stray #cats and #dogs there, but of course the war has left a great many more. People fled the Russian onslaught, and were often forced to leave their beloved pets behind, who roamed the streets and, of course, bred.

The vet saw evidence of fleas on Nyusha, so gave her some stuff on her neck. All good. But he didn't have any more for Albee.
I went to a different vet who sold me different stuff. It's awful. Absolutely stinks. Albee has been washing himself almost constantly since last night to get rid of it.
Never buy "Advantage" if you don't want your cat to hate you and everything they touch for the next 48 hours!

Nyusha arrived a couple of days ago from a shelter in Ukraine (thanks to her pet passport!), seems to be settling in well… our other cat isn't sure. Nyusha's confined to one room, where she's mostly OK, but was crying to come out to explore. She escaped– Albee reacted badly, hissing, vomiting and finally hiding under the bed.
The crying's stopped now, and Albee seems happier… will keep them separated for a while longer.
