I'm not a film photography purist, I do use my digital camera for things like: event photography and bird photography. Nobody has the time or money to have thousands of shots of those things on film.
It helps, also, to have a digital camera you don't hate. Personally I never loved my Canon DSLRs in the past; but really enjoy my Nikons.
Here's a photo of a banana slug from Pacifica.
I always have a small film camera for a 'B roll', tho.

My workplace has this virtual race happening and I am feeling a tad competitive. So, I headed down to the Subang Ria park to walk around with my Nordic sticks.
I am really glad this park exists. Because it is essentially private land, the developer who owns it had always wanted to demolish the park and build a fancy luxury condo around it. But the Subang Jaya community has fought hard to keep it open to the public.
Lately, the park which was really run down during the pandemic, had a face lift. The park now even has a community hall, gazebos and exercise machines and a playground.
Me with my Nordic poles. These ain’t cheap – about RM600!I took up Nordic Walking when I had back problems, as it helps you walk without much pain. Now that I am recovered, I still do it as its supposed to burn more calories and help you walk further.
Anyway I am always the only one with sticks around so I don’t know what people must think about me.

New routine I am doing - at 630am, #Apricat and I will spend 30 minutes walking the apartment gardens. Most of the time we just stare at the view from the top of the hill. Then, it is back to the apartment for breakfast, and I leave for my morning walk at 730am. I am a morning lark & I find myself happy that I breathed in the morning air so early. Maybe I will enjoy this. 🙂

To me, success is being able to live the life you want and I consider myself successful. No debt, a simple life, with a very naughty cat to take care of, and vegetables growing at my balcony.

Why have we basically made it #illegal to be a kid in #public?
#Kids cannot be outside without their parents constantly watching them, they cannot play on the #street (because we made them too dangerous) or even sidewalks in some #cities, and even loitering (existing in public) is illegal in many places. We've made kid-friendly #transportation such as bicycles, skateboards, and rollerblades illegal in many places. It's no wonder why kids are rarely found #outside anymore.

There's still scattered burn and surreal twice burned areas on the third day backpacking, but there's also unburned and healthy after the burn areas. My plans had to morph a little and I got in tagging a peak right at the end!
