Shows Surviving Acute Covid Cases (i.e., confirmed cases less covid deaths) and LongCovid (PASC) Cases (Estimated) from January 2020 to date.

As of Friday:

LongCovid (PASC) Cases (Est.): 28,985,948

Previously used AAPM&R dashboard for this data, but in recent months AAPM&R dash has been under-reporting CSSE data (some weeks wildly overreporting), even reporting lower figures as against itself, both internally (headline figure and line graph disagreeing) and historically (figures one day or week being lower than a prior day or week).

AAPM&R cites to studies that suggest 10% to 30% of all acute covid cases result in post-acute sequelae. More recent studies put that estimate at closer to 60%.

Note this is a Microsoft #PowerBI dash, which has documented issues processing large data sets, such as the daily case and death tallies used here. As a result, AAPM&R dash reports numbers different from those obtained from JHU CSSE.

Flyover for 11/5 shows dash doesn't even agree with itself. Headline surviving: 96.6 million; flyover surviving cases 95.4 million, for a ~350K difference in PASC.
