A few years ago I developed a process which crosses cyanotype with origami.

I called the pictures made this way Metamorphograms.

I proved, in philosophical terms, that metamorphograms are visualized memories.

And now I'm very proud that the metamorphogram process has been included as a chapter in an academic design book.

Came across this cool #CSS pattern https://codepen.io/josetxu/pen/mdvzaQZ?editors=0100 - uses 35 gradients, so I instantly knew I could simplify it and make it easily customisable.

So here it is my version on #CodePen https://codepen.io/thebabydino/pen/WNPamBB?editors=0100 - 9 gradients with n set to 4. Because yes, you can change n! 😎

(I went from dollar store pans to Daniel Smith tubes, in case anyone is curious)

This is a *very simple* #pattern (copied from my wife’s favourite #pyjama pants) with only three parts: front, back and waistband.

This first pair is to verify how accurately I copied them (and to test length/fit) as well as to give me an opportunity to create good #sewing instructions so I can quickly sew them up again in the future without any extra work or thought. @sewing

Once everything is all traced out, I weigh the pros and cons of different #cutting tools: #scissors/shears, manual rotary cutters, electric #fabric cutter, etc. It depends on what I’m cutting (both the fabric & the #pattern/project itself) and sometimes I end up using more than one.

This time, since it’s lots of long cuts with mostly soft curves, I opted to use my fabric cutter for everything except the front crotch curve where I used my fabric scissors. Very quick and accurate! #sewing @sewing
