Merry Christmas Tram

https://justin-farrimond.pixels.com/featured/merry-christmas-tram-justin-farrimond.html

Yes I know, it's still November.
Look, before you know it it'll be Halloween again and you'll be saying 'Soon be Christmas'.
Smile - it's only once a year.

#PicOfTheDay #Christmas #ThoughtOfTheDay #MerryChristmas #Photography

Colour portrait photograph showing a vintage tram stopped on a cobbled road. The words 'Merry Christmas' have been slapped on the image. Not that it means anything, in fact, when did Christmas last mean anything? If you had said to me 20 years ago 'oh in 20 years time hardly anyone will bother sending Christmas cards' I would've disagreed. If anything the over commercialisation at the time would have made anyone think more cards would be being sent. But no. Less cards, but more money spent on crap.
And don't get me started on selection boxes. When I was little they were a big deal. OK, for big deal read 'a lazy gift for kids'. But they were still a something. Now they're stacked high in supermarkets at .99p a pop. They mean nothing. Gifts are just minor guilt trips wrapped in fancy paper. One of the first things you do on Christmas morning? Get a bin bag ready for the paper. Before you know it it's Boxing Day, the house is a mess, and cold (why is the house always cold on Boxing Day). All you can think of is the work ahead taking all the decorations down. A couple of weeks later you end up going through that ritual when you're out at the shops, you know - "Hello there, had a nice Christmas?" "Yes nice and quiet". Skip forwards what feels like a couple of weeks and you'll be doing it all over again.
My advice? Go for it. Why not? Treat Christmas as though it'll be your last, squeeze every ounce of cheer from the season. One year it will be.

I'm doing a thing I like to call "Painted Skies" - something of a backyard project for when my diary (or health) means I can't get out on the hills. It's amazing the variety of patterns, colours and textures in the sky above my garden.

Here's a set from last night

This is one of my absolute stunners. I have it also printed on my wall here. Everything was perfect that day. Truly one of the best things that could happen to me

I'm sorry, but I'll post it repeatedly here because I just love it sooo much

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And I can just recommend printing it! ;-)

This stunning image captures a bridge over a lake with majestic mountains in the background. The scene is surrounded by lush green trees and bushes, creating an idyllic atmosphere. The sky is bright blue, adding to the beauty of this highland landscape. In the foreground, we can see a road leading up to the bridge which crosses over the body of water below. On either side of this road are tall trees with yellow and green leaves that stand out against their surroundings. Further away from us lies a mountain range covered in dense forest, providing an impressive backdrop for this tranquil setting. This picture perfectly encapsulates nature's beauty and serenity

Rainy day reflections in Uptown 🌧️

Not the most ideal weather for the holiday weekend. On top of the rain, it's aggressively humid out here!

Nonetheless, not letting this time off go to waste. And neither should you. Get out and about. See some friends and family. Explore the city.

We only get so much time to ourselves. To do what we want, when we want. Don't let it go to waste. Make it count.

✌️❤️
