Junior has been growing so fast this month, I swear it has been growing noticeable every single day. The plant in the first picture, I'm hoping it's doing ok as it hasn't sent to be grown as much. I bought a cheap cactus some years ago, which eventually I tried to repot but sections got rot. I managed to save some segments by planting them separately in small pots.

I didn’t have much luck at the weekend with #botanical #photography - it was rainy and I had a lot of work to do. I want to share, nevertheless, a mobile phone photo of the big #Datura inoxia which showed up between the newly planted #vine #plants in our vineyard… It’s unlikely it came with the vine plants as those arrived without soil, and also the Senior said he has seen Daturas growing on our land in different places before, so it seems to be somewhat established here. May I remind you, that’s not the #Mediterranean, that’s the #Elbe Valley in #Saxony, Germany. (Note: reposted.)

This is my 2nd generation of red star (Cryptanthus bivittatus according to the vendor), a terrestrial Bromeliad. I only had the original #plant for a few months before it flowered. After producing a small, unassuming flower the mother plant produces "pups" that slowly draw energy from the main plant. This is one of 9 pups mom produced last year.
