Back in the pool today. I realized I wouldn't like one of those pools where you swim against the current. What I like is the feeling I'm gliding through the water like a wind-up toy fish in a bathtub.
The back injury in June is mostly just a memory, but I'm still working to regain the stamina I lost. I did 1240 yards in 40 minutes, slow and only my minimum, but I'm in the water.

Well I had a surprising time At my cousin Akane's #party this #weekend. She picked me up after #classes and we went back to her place. She has a nice bungalow with a #pool and #hot_tub in the backyard, which has a privacy fence all around it. Being #Canada the pool is drained for the winter, but the hot tub was still bubbling.
When we got there we had a few hours before the party was to start, so I unpacked my weekend bag and Akane brought out the dress she had picked out for me. Well she called it a dress. I've since found out it's a #bodycon dress, it's #sheer white and almost completely #backless with just a series of strands holding it together. Needless to say I couldn't wear any #underwear with it, and it hides nothing. It was very shocking but kinda fun too. This is when she told me it was a #lesbian #lifestyle party. I'd never heard of this before, so basically she invited about 20 girls over and everyone has lots of sex with everyone else there. I knew Akane was gay but I didn't know she was into these kinds of parties. Well I was very nervous, but she told me I didn't have to have sex with anyone, it was my choice, that helped a lot. Especially since the furthest I'd gone before is a couple #makeout sessions. So the party went one till after 2am and I'm not a #virgin anymore. ๐๐๐

You canโt tell in the photo but it was lightly raining so my friend and I had the #pool to ourselves - such a fantastic day!
Today's picture was taken inside the Alcรกzar of Seville. It shows los Baรฑos de Doรฑa Marรญa de Padilla. Despite their dramatic appearance, these 'baths' are simply rainwater tanks.
The palace is a preeminent example of Mudรฉjar style in the Iberian Peninsula, combining Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance structural elements. Much of it dates to the C14th and C15th.

The #pool is almost opened. I finally got the liner straightened out and began the laborious job of filling it. I had to stop as we left early for the dinner and show, but I will be able to finish it up today, get the pump circulating the water and begin dumping chemicals into it. Maybe by Friday it will be usable, if not perfect. I always look forward to my first hot afternoon, floating in the pool, cold beer in one hand and book in the other. My favorite lazy Saturday afternoon.
Question for above ground pool owners:
What do you do with these blue covers/blanket while using the pool? It helps heat the water and keep leaves out, but itโs a pain to handle.
#Today I will get the #pool opened, but unfortunately, it won't be swimmable for a few days. I say unfortunately, because temps are supposed to be near 90ยบF / 32.2ยบC, which is pretty warm. But it takes a few days for the pool water to warm up and get chemically balanced and I don't even have the cover off yet, which is the biggest job. It's always a win when I can get it off with minimal leaf spillage. After 10+ years, I still don't have the process down.
