I've been trying to implement the #shareTarget API in my #PWA for years now and I'm *so close* to being able to accept files from a share (at least from #Chrome #Android) that I can *taste* it!!!

In manifest.json I set my `method` to "POST" and `enctype` to "multipart/form-data", but when I share to my app it just GETs the page with no POST or even querystring params.

I could try disabling the GET response and see what happens...

If you install a #PWA with a #browser it will open links in that browser instead of your default. That may not be surprising, but it's not how native applications work. #progressiveWebApps #webDev

Seems weird having Outlook and other 365 apps running on Linux. Good weird, but definitely weird. Lovely that I don't need a Windows VM to work.

AT LAST.

My guess is Apple started to get tired of being sued every few months for its anti-trust policies and decided to add what was missing for Progressive Web Apps on their platforms: web notifications.

The industry will at last be able to develop complete Progressive Web Apps.

Next step is Safari renaming its "Add to Home Screen" button to "Install" if a service worker is detected, but we're allowed to dream a little...

I made the #mistake of installing a new version of the #Mozilla #Firefox mobile browser 😡 🤬.

#Fennec or codename #Fenix version 109.

Now I can no longer load local HTML pages. I used those as offline Progressive Web Apps. In addition, the addon #Greasemonkey no longer works. Greasemonkey is essential to improve websites.

Does anyone know why it does not work or any workarounds? @mozilla

Does anyone else prefer the Mastodon web app to a mobile app? Been trying it for a while and while zooming in on images has issues, I like having the full range of features. Honestly I wish more apps offered #ProgressiveWebApps especially transport apps (if your listening #DeutscheBahn )

The seasonal news that #WhatsApp will stop working on #iPhone 5 and below #Android 4.3 highlights how the lack of Web apps is a significant environmental problem. Phones become obsolete in part because they don’t get OS updates, and they become incompatible with compiled apps. A lightweight OS for old phones would be more feasible if it mainly had to have a solid Web browser that facilitated a proper selection of #ProgressiveWebApps (& if manufacturers made open drivers/docs). #PWA #PWAs

It's not a big deal, but it annoys me that #progressiveWebApps don't appear as separate apps in #Android battery/usage statistics. It makes it hard to monitor my social media usage while using a #PWA

Oh wow, not only can't #Mozilla #Firefox's #SSB (#SiteSpecificBrowser) mode:
-> show title-attribute contents when hovering over their elements (so no visible image alt descriptions either)
-> open a right-click context menus (so no "right-click, copy link address")

I now discover it also doesn't support resizing with ctrl+mouse wheel or ctrl+plus/minus keys...

Sounds to me like Fx isn't ready ready for #PWA (#ProgressiveWebApps)?
