Currently, there is no water stagnation on runways and taxiways at the airport, however, a lot of slush/filth has gathered there and four Crash Fire Tenders (CFTs) have been deployed for the cleaning process

Looks like we topped out at around 12mm/hr. We've had worse. :)
Current total for the day is 26mm. We’ve had 7.6mm in the past hour. It's raining at about 5mm/hr right now.
This should persist through the rest of the day.
Good chance the station gets over 50mm but I'm not sure it will go much above that.
Other stations may get significantly more, especially the official Airport Station out in the Valley closer to the mountains.

Rain is intensifying in Port Alberni and there is some wind here in #nanaimo. Current rain rate at Alberniweather HQ: 9.4mm/hr. The rain and thick cloud has made it so dark outside that the street lights have turned on! Can see them downtown (to the right) on the webcam. 16mm rain total. This should rise faster now.

"It will be a wet and snowy start to December across the Northwest as the region remains the focal point for a series of storms featuring a month's worth of rain and feet of mountain snow.
"A flow of moisture from the Pacific Ocean, known as an atmospheric river, will send a nearly continuous barrage of storms into the Northwest into the first week of December, increasing the risk of flooding in the lower elevations while snow could clog mountain passes, leading to travel disruptions throughout the region.
"The train of storms will continue to spread rain across western Oregon and Washington into northwestern California through much of the new week. Cities across the region including Portland and Eugene, Oregon, and Seattle can record multiple inches of rain through Tuesday. Rainfall totals will be the highest along the coast and in the coastal mountain ranges where upwards of a foot of rain can occur in some areas. "
