Sulu (left) is the senior cat, chief of the clan. Adopted from a rescueshelter, he loves to read books & pose for photos.
Chekhov (centre) is the newest recruit, a kitten who was found injured and near death. He loves playing with his new big brothers.
McCoy (right), was an unwanted kitten tossed out of a car. He's an energetic youngster.
(Where we live in rural Bulgaria it's safe for cats to go outside to play.)

TL;DR Not Pip.
Saw some roadkill not far from us yesterday, had obviously been there a few days and was unidentifiable but probably a cat. Took it to the vet who was pretty confident there was no chip. So almost certainly not Pip but I still gave it a decent burial.

😍 The kitten who was found injured, with almost no blood left in his body, with paralysed legs - is in excellent shape now and growing fast. Here he is playing happily with his new young adult brother McCoy (also a rescue).
(Kitten Chekhov is on the right - not yet five months old but already almost as big as an adult.)
The two like to play-wrestle and to chase each other around the house.

Update about the rescued kitten: 😍 The little boy has made a full recovery. You wouldn't believe that this is the same kitten that was found half-dead from injuries, with almost no blood left in his ice-cold body.
He's now warm, safe, healthy, playful & happy. He has even regained full movement in his paralysed legs.
He's still shy and often hides, but enjoys cuddles and gets on well with my other cats.

Vet: The antibiotics can either be a course of tablets for ¥1500 or I can administer an injection for ¥5000.

A poop and blood test suggest this might just be a bacterial tummy bug (bacteria found in poop, but blood tests look strong). Dinah’s had a shot of antibiotics, subcutaneous fluids and an anti-vomit medication. We trudged home through the rain and she’s just eaten a good lunch! So I’m hoping we’re on the mend. #OhDinah #RescueCats #CatsOfMastodon

This week, I am looking after this fine senior lady. Yanko is another rescue cat from the Japan Cat Network. Her regular foster mum has gone on holiday, so I have filled my house with cats! No one is thrilled by this, but as they’re all talk and no action, we’re muddling along OK 😺😺😺 Yanko is generally a sleepy old girl, but is capable of letting rip the most blood curdling yowls for no obvious reason.
