I also figured out why starting #ResidentEvil 4 Remake on PC takes foreeeeever.
I should have looked this up much sooner as I was pretty much able to find this thread on the #Steam forums right away:

Apparently if you use every available save slot, the game will check every single save on each startup, which can take up to over a minute. 😱
Due to Cloud Saves I had to fix this the hacky way by moving the files elsewhere and `touch` creating them again (I'm on Linux).

I beat the real final endboss of #ResidentEvil 4 Remake: glitches and the f***ing jetski ride. 😅
Seriously, I wasn't even going for the "Smooth Ride" achievement, but 2 hits and you're gone??? And the first hit will most likely guide you into something that kills you. 😬
And then my completion time was just a tad too slow for an "S" rank. Oh well...
I think now I'm good for a while, even if "Separate Ways" was just released. I'm gonna play me some #GhostTrick.

A glitched out screen. I had to decrease the resolution from 1080p to 720p, just to get through the section before and the graphics still started freaking out.
A purple flame indicating a merchant can be made out. There's also a free standing door and no floor. Ashley's face is melted and Leon is a Shoggothy-spikey mess.

My results screen. I finished the game on hardcore difficulty in 8 hours and 13 minutes. This yielded an "A" rank.

I was hoping to finish my second playthrough of #ResidentEvil 4 Remake this evening, but sadly I ran out of time.
I managed to shoot my way through chapters 14 and 15, running out of ammo multiple times. 😨
And, frustratingly, the game crashed for the first time in my second playthrough, shortly after the final onslaught before the sanctuary. Before the game had time to save. So I had to fight my way through the last (long) section twice. 😩

I had a rough night and because I'm so tired I don't feel up for #ResidentEvil 4 Remake today. But I'm staying with #Capcom and I finally started my replay of #GhostTrick.

- Why do I own **two** copies of RE 1's original PC port? And since when? I was really surprised when I pulled out a second copy. 🤣

Im AgentRedJackal, a jack-of-all-trades(master of none) when it comes to digital content and currently a vtuber.
I mod and have done various types of content for the streamer #vinnyvinesauce of #vinesauce including game and software modifications, art, video editing, ai-related generations, gamedev involving graphics/music/3d/voice acting and being a part of gamedev projects, providing avatars for both VRC and Vtubing use, tech troubleshooting for old games and more.

My main youtube channel is a hodge podge of content for my various areas of interest which may include:
VRChat coverage videos(maps and lifestyle), stream highlights, gamedev stuff including VRChat maps/avatars, video edits related to Vinesauce and various video games, messing around with AI, game mods and the occasional boundary/sequence breaking, animations, game datamining, Japanese indie game coverage, music etc etc etc

My hardcore video game interests tend to lean into #ResidentEvil and #shinmegamitensei atm, but I like a wide variety of games that tend to be by Japanese devs. Ive done some contributions for the RE community in the past and hope to do so for the SMT community as well.
