This week on the blog, I walk through making a real graphics display on the IIgs, and also twist and contort a bit to use as many new-to-me 65816 features as I can.

This post gets us halfway to the screenshot I posted a month ago. We'll close the gap next week.

I can be interested in topics that are as broad as #retrocomputing, #retrogaming, and #cars, but as specific as #analoguepocket, #snes, #mustang, and #austin.

Even just following those hashtags here gets unsustainable and I start missing out on things I care about more (friends, specific programming topics, etc.)

He then outlines his favourite jungle production techniques, with tips and tricks on how to recreate classic synth chord stabs, and onto sequencing a drum and bass track using OctaMED tracker on an Amiga computer.

Would there be any interest in a series of postcards in the following style?

I made a few designs like this, and I'm quite happy with how they came out - perhaps a few tweaks to the design and the colours would be necessary.

A poster design for the original Macintosh, showing the release date (24th January 1984) and a short description of the system.

"The Macintosh was the first affordable home computer to feature a graphical user interface (GUI), with a price of $2,500. It was designed from the ground up to be innovative and user-friendly, and became a very popular computer with a lasting legacy."

There is an illustration of the computer on the right, and a few contemporary magazine scans along the bottom.

Here is the message from author of this survey:

"I would like to thank for the participation of all the persons that took the #survey already! If you have any ideas on how to reach people that might not necessarily are fans of the #retrocomputing, the survey itself has a second tree of questions, that introduces to the area of digital artifacts and asks about perceived importance of the topic. I would be very happy if we could reach with the study to as big and diverse audience as we can, so feel free to share the link as broadly as you like. It will be very helpful!"

so, you do not need to be interested in retrocomputing to participate in the survey. Your feedback still will be valuable.

Link to the survey is in the first toot in this thread.

I have decided to do one final run of the original version of the WME64 wireless modem emulator for the Commodore 64, 128, and VIC-20. It will be a batch order with about a two week or so lead time because I need to order the parts, so if you are interested, here is a good place to let me know. Each one is $40USD plus whatever shipping costs to your address, comes in a 3D printed case with colour label, and is compatible with any program that can use a user port modem, at 300-9600 baud.

Getting your order in now will get you your modem first, before it goes up for sale on Tindie or anywhere else.

NOTE: This run is 50 units, 19 of which are currently spoken for.

OK this is an emergency call to my #retrogaming #retrocomputing #mediaarchaeology #hardwarehacker #hacker enthusiast friends in and around the #Denver metro/Front Range/ #Boulder / #ColoradoSprings / #FortCollins area

Urban Putt Denver is, sadly, closing its doors. However, there is an opportunity to rescue a one-of-a-kind stand up arcade game/mini golf "hole" before it ends up in the scrap heap.

Bunker Blast 3000 was designed to resemble a retro 1980s arcade game. As a mini-golf hole, the game is played by putting into a ramp underneath the "arcade" display. Sensors inside the game read the ball's velocity and angle, and the game renders a virtual ball on the screen, rolling through a "game grid" like environment reminiscent of Tron. The game then kicks the ball out for subsequent putt attempts.

The unit is 36 inches wide and roughly 5 to 6 feet tall. It features a color display and custom software that exists as a one-of-a-kind homage to classic arcade games, enclosed in an arcade-style wooden cabinet with custom artwork, and a backlit front display. It is GLORIOUS.

Here's the deal though: This unit needs to be moved THIS SUNDAY, June 11th, when the dismantling of Urban Putt Denver will be going on.

If you know someone who wants, or you yourself want, a collectible and irreplaceable, fully functional and FUN AS HELL objet-d'art for your living room, barcade, or museum, my friend, Urban Putt CEO Steve Fox, will GIVE YOU the item at no charge, if you can bring enough people and a vehicle large enough to carry it away.

DM me for serious inquiries, only. No, it's too heavy to ship out of Colorado unless you're going to put it in your own box truck and carry it yourself.

Please repost widely. Thank you!
