Pretty sure this is the only Lars Von Trier #movie um, FILM, in which a character actually smiles and means it.
The depressive Dane has Kirsten Dunst in her best work with the dour Charlottes (Rampling and Gainsbourg) and Kiefer Sutherland as a rich dick.
If you're in a jovial mood when you start watching this, leave it to Von Trier to suck out all the joy in the room.
This may be the closest thing Von Trier comes to a comedy, not counting the more dull parts of Dogville.
Wackiest wedding party ever.
You know you were singing the Aerosmith song from Armageddon near the end. Worth it just to have Udo Kier as a wedding planner.
