The eroded sandstone wall of Geikie gorge on the Fitzroy river, Western Australia. This picture was taken in the dry season, when the scoured, more heavily eroded rock is exposed. The high-water mark on the gorge wall in the following picture shows the huge difference in river height between wet and dry seasons, and the reason the stone is so deeply eroded.

She was a popular Cambodian singer of the band “Cambodian Space Project”, a band inspired by Cambodian singers of the 1960s and early 1970s.
The band led an arts and cultural revival in Cambodia, and released 6 albums between 2011 and 2017. Lots of albums and video footage to explore if this sounds interesting.

The production quality is great for the times. Along with the song structure and lyrical themes (no politics), it comes across as more power pop / bubblegum pop than the punk offerings of the time. Still, it’s got some really well written and performed songs.

The Style Council release their debut LP, "Café Bleu"
This is Paul Weller’s band after The Jam. It’s a softer pop sound of course, and the album is quite eclectic in it’s own right.
Their single, “My Ever Changing Moods” is classic “80s music”. They actually renamed this album for the US market to the same name as this song because it was so popular.
But the album version is really sweet. Just soulful vocals over piano.

One of the greatest rock songs from the 60s that you’ve probably never heard: “7 and 7 Is” by the band Love.
Love nestled comfortably into the music of their time. Still, their sound was like no other. Their record “Da Capo” gets regular rotation in my world. Mostly because of the aforementioned song.

Bear Ghost is an adventurous rock band out of Phoenix. I discovered them through a Slack channel when someone recommended them. They have somewhat silly subject matters in their music, but it's always fun, unique, and never lacking in good instrumentation.
Give 'em a listen sometime.
We got stuff cooking that I can't share with the world yet but, in the meantime, I'd like to share this album that was released last Fall. It's a psychedelic mix of #electronica, #beats, #pop, #funk and #rock and partially a love note to the producers, musicians and composers who inspired two friends that had fun jamming out over 11 days. It's got a little bit of something for everybody to appreciate. Favs and boosts appreciated :)
Fishbone’s record “The Reality of My Surroundings” is, I believe, their greatest. It’s so absolutely delightful.
My favorite track is “Behavior Control Technician.”
The helicopter ride over the mountains near #LasVegas #Nevada #USA, was just outstanding. The #aerialviews of #LakeMead, the #mountains, desert and Grand Canyon were so worth the trip.
