The Australian made another mistake by choosing this picture to make their case.
It's a monumental task to get 'beyond reasonable doubt' for crimes that have just one witness - Women, just like men, occasionally lie.
However, numerous women have surfaced with allegations against #RussellBrand.
It's starting to seem that it'll be difficult to find even unreasonable doubt.
Wie sterk staat heeft geen censuur nodig. Laat staan extreme censuur. Toch is dat wat ons in de EU te wachten staat. De bende van Davos wil de hele ‘informatieruimte’ beheersen. Een teken van grote innerlijke zwakte.
Er is al heel veel censuur de laatste jaren. En eerder trouwens ook al, maar dan meest in de vorm van zelfcensuur. Maar nu de EU steeds meer het machtscentrum wordt en de nationale soevereiniteit wordt uitgehold, neemt de online censuur hand over hand toe. We merken dat bij TransitieWeb aan een sterke afname van bezoek vanaf social media en via zoekmachines. De veronderstelling dat dit met filters en shadow banning te maken heeft lijkt gewettigd.
Deplatforming
Maar het wordt nog veel gekker en ongrondwettiger.
In Engeland is een wet aangenomen (de Online Services Act) waarbij ‘disinformatie’ strafbaar wordt gesteld. De overheid bepaalt wat disinformatie is. Gedekt door deze wet werd op 26 september een bloggende burgerjournalist door de politie uit zijn podcast gehaald. De agenten wilden een gesprek met hem voeren over zijn berichtgeving. Hij weigerde en werd prompt gearresteerd, weggevoerd en alsnog ondervraagd.
En de bekende vlogger Russell Brand werd gedeplatformd van YouTube (6,6 miljoen volgers!) en moest uitwijken naar Rumble:

Dit is Europees beleid. Ook in Nederland zullen we hiermee te maken krijgen.
En in Canada is onlangs de Online Streaming Act aangenomen. Doel is om daarmee bloggers te ‘reguleren’. De regering wil het eerst die onafhankelijke platforms aanpakken die veel bezoekers hebben. Deze podcasters moeten zich laten registreren, anders mogen ze hun werk niet doen. Ze moeten de overheid daarbij informatie verstrekken over de inhoud van hun producties en over hun abonnees (!).
En nu?
Maar gewoon laten gebeuren?
Petities en Kamermoties helpen niet, zolang de bende van Davos in het zadel zit.
Wat wel?
Laten we eens wat uitgebreider stilstaan bij de term informatieruimte. Ik kende dat woord niet, maar kwam het onlangs tegen in een ambtelijke tekst over de toepassing van de DSA. Ik geloof dat het langskwam in de beantwoording van Kamervragen.
Het komt erop neer dat de overheid deze ruimte wil controleren en dus reguleren. Dat is ook wat we in Canada zien.
Informatieruimten
Dat is een hele enge situatie als je er even over nadenkt.
Bijvoorbeeld: een vader loopt met zijn zoontje in een park en beantwoordt tientallen waarom-vragen die kinderen geneigd zijn te stellen als ze een jaar of vijf, zes zijn.
Dat is een weliswaar kleine, maar heel duidelijke informatieruimte. Maar zo klein is deze ruimte nu ook weer niet, want er zijn er miljoenen van. Bij elkaar is dat een kolossale ruimte.
De overheid zal zich daarom (nog rigider) van de opvoeding meester willen maken. We zien dat nu uiteraard al met de opgedrongen gender gekte.
Iedere ouder zal hier wel zo zijn of haar gedachten over hebben.
Er komt dus onder andere een grote strijd aan om de geest van onze kinderen. En die strijd kunnen we voeren. Ouders vallen nog niet onder een DSA. Je bent niet strafbaar als je je dochter vertelt dat de huidige Oekraïne een nazistaat is en 9/11 een inside job was. Je mag dat alleen niet meer op Facebook zetten.
En zo zijn er tientallen niveaus van maatschappelijk leven waarbij – goed beschouwd – van een informatieruimte sprake is. Uitjes met collega’s, sportactiviteiten, de wekelijkse markt, dance evenementen, uitvaarten, een ritje met de trein van A naar B, collegezalen, de wachtrij voor de kassa in de supermarkt. Allemaal informatieruimtes.
Veel succes overheid, als je al die niveaus wilt reguleren en beheersen!
Baas in eigen brein
De bende van Davos staart zich blind op de grote, invloedrijke media. Niet beseffend dat die maar een beperkt deel van de bedoelde mentale ruimte bestrijken. Dat verklaart ook waarom deze types blijkbaar zo bang zijn dat ze de greep verliezen. Want die grote media hebben ze allang in hun zak. Hoe kan het dan dat niet iedereen hun veile plannen met applaus begroet? Dat moet een puzzel voor ze zijn. Maar zo raadselachtig is dat niet. Ze beheersen maar een deel van de informatieruimte. En een groot deel in de verste verte niet. Dat gaat ze ook nooit lukken.
Uiteindelijk is iedere individu de baas van zijn of haar eigen informatieruimte. Een totaal ontspoorde overheid kan daar alleen maar op inbreken door ons met geweld en chemische middelen in zombies te veranderen. Ook dat zal geprobeerd worden, getuige de oefeningen die de WHO in dit verband al heeft gedaan, maar ook dit is tot mislukken gedoemd.
Het zal een heleboel meer ellende veroorzaken. Dat wel.
Mijn advies:
Neem de ruimte. Pak zoveel daarvan als je aankunt.
En houd de overheid vastberaden op gepaste afstand.

Our issue with the #OnlineSafetyBill is that tech companies will have to use algorithms to decide whether content is illegal and remove it before it’s even been posted.
This isn’t about demonetisation, it’s about platforms being forced to block or take down more of your posts.
We’ll never know how many ordinary people have their content censored by the Bill once it is implemented.
Unlike #RussellBrand it’s very likely you won’t have a high profile to raise awareness.
Russell Brand has said that YouTube’s decision to demonetise him is in the ‘context of the Online Safety Bill’.
While ORG has concerns about the Bill’s powers for censorship and surveillance, it’s misleading to blame a Bill that's not yet received Royal Assent for this decision.

Amidst all the comment and furore over the #Dispatches investigation into #RussellBrand, this is one of the best articles I've read. The closing paragraph in particular is spot-on:

Seeing some of the reaction to #russellbrand being a sick twisted sex offender is disturbing and cult-like. Many of his followers literally hold him aloft as a god-like figure. It's no surprise many of the survivors have been so reluctant in coming forward. I believe in innocence until proven guilty but he openly admits to having a relationship with a 16 year old girl when he was 31, there's nothing innocent about that.

Weird, this article says #RussellBrand's videos "generally show him speaking directly to the camera in a single take, using his notable range of verbal dexterity to challenge the mainstream reporting of a range of subjects" when what actually they show him lying to his audience and laundering assorted far-right talking points.
Russell Brand has postponed his live U.K. shows in light of the allegations against him. A performance on Saturday night went ahead a few hours after allegations of rape and sexual assault were published. Brand was given a standing ovation by the crowd of 2,000, however he, his management and venue bosses have decided to cancel remaining shows. Deadline has more.
