They were demanding six dollars per day, which was a lot in those days. However, the gold rush caused massive inflation and six dollars was not much in light of that. They also were fighting for a nine-hour work day and one dollar per hour overtime. In the wake of this successful strike, organizers formed the Riggers’ and Stevedores’ Association.

Developed my first roll of motion picture film.
I scrubbed it too hard so there are.. tracks on it. Motion picture film has a black layer known as remjet that you gotta remove when you develop. It’s also why you can’t send it to a normal film lab). I can’t believe I actually managed to get a pic from it. I’ll keep shooting 250D and 500T and get better at developing it.
