Ernesto’s Cat Sanctuary was bombed this week and could really use our help. After the devastating earthquake that Turkey saw this year the men & women of Ernestos have been traveling the countryside picking up an assortment of animals that were misplaced, wounded, or abandoned. Now the sanctuary itself has been damaged, with a lot of the cats either wounded or killed. Today they begin the long haul of taking care of the animals and rebuilding the sanctuary.

There is a gorgeous gathering of #Universities of #Sanctuary in #Edinburgh today with some of the bravest and most tenacious and quite frankly smartest people in the U.K. telling about the difference higher education makes, how hard it is to come by when seeking #asylum, how broken the insane business model (thanks for that insight yesterday Adam Habib #Soas) and what can and gas been done to make things better.

After more than four weeks of convalescence after surgery -> bronchitis -> vacation, today I was finally reunited with my friends at the animal sanctuary. There was a lot of work waiting for me, but I couldn't be happier 🥰

The pictures show beautiful Thadeusz wondering if maybe I have treats for him, and Henry & Carsten trying to figure out who's the bigger horse (Henry is 1/2 of Carsten's size, but that doesn't keep him from trying ;-))
