Here's the Metric song if you want it plastered in your cerebrum as well.

Since #Nimona is a PG movie, the song obviously loses a few lines (everything about getting off), and gains a new contextual meaning. The song was originally inspired by the blind pursuit of power and material wealth in #Scarface (1983, dir. Brian de Palma). In this film, it narrates a friendship-building montage as we see the media fail to bring fascists to account.

The first I remember seeing Belzer was when he did a standup comedy routine on HBO when I was in high school - this was around ‘81 or ‘82. I’ll never forget how he summed up Ronald Reagan as POTUS: “We got a fuckin’ cowboy actor runnin’ the country.” A year or so later, he showed up briefly as a standup comedian at the nightclub where Tony Montana hung out in Brian DePalma’s “Scarface.”
