It was a beautiful evening, post-sunset, on this evening at the beach. The water was a turquoise blue & the sky a pastel pink which was reflected in the wet sand along the beach. And to top off the scene, a lone shorebird was seen searching for dinner as it walked along the shoreline.

A giant Rubik Cube and Die was a surprise spot, before the usual impressive coastal views of the #Glamorgan #HeritageCoast kicked in. Finished at #LlantwitMajor #beach
One of my favorite Lake Superior boulders has disintegrated. I'm not sure when it happened, but the pink shot was from Valentine's Day this year. The gray shot was from this afternoon.
Lake Superior claims another cool rocky feature to photograph. Everything is always changing. Nothing remains the same.

Earlier thunderstorms that had blanketed West Coast Florida had moved offshore to rain themselves out over the Gulf of Mexico. The dissipating clouds created a veil of rain over the sun and Gulf waters and turned the seas and sky a scarlet orange.

I don't attempt many sea or landscapes in soft pastel although I would like to find time to practice them more often. I did do this piece called 'Atlantic Wave' back in 2018 and was pleased with how it turned out. I feel it captures the energy but also the delicacy of the ocean wave.

Nazare, Portugal can be deceivingly peaceful. Not only can this beach be tranquil but it is the home of the largest wave ever surfed. Just recently the record was smashed by a surfer dropping off a 100 foot wave. Some say it was 115 feet, either way the surfer appeared just a speck on the face of the wall. Google it!
