As we said at the shelter: A “good” cat/dog is often a tired and/or sick cat/dog

I’d much rather need to up how much I play with Studs than have him be “good” because he’s in too much pain to get into trouble.

Studly has been getting into more mischief recently. Chasing Henry and Mary, trolling for trouble, insisting he needs my food, scratching where he knows he shouldn’t, etc… But he’s also increasingly been letting Sammy cuddle up to him.

Me: ????

Then I realized maybe he’s feeling better! Increased the CBD for his arthritis ~2 wks ago & must be getting to a good dose.

So. Been working hard to wear him out with play and the mischief is subsiding. 😻

We got a few minutes of weak sunshine today. Not warm enough to set up the comfy chair but Studly and Henry didn’t seem to mind.

And. You know what’s fun? Watching bubbles float away on the breeze. We don’t have bubbles but watching handfuls of Henry’s winter coat float away is satisfying, too.

This was my senior cat Mimi, who reached the amazing age of 21 years.

Toothless, but she still ruled my roost (i.e. me and my other cat) with the aura of a queen who is used to being served.
What she wanted, she got.

Mimi was found as a stray/lost cat, then adopted by my Mom. Where she spend 10 great years. Then Mimi moved to my place for her sunset year.

Queen Mimi, always loved.

In good news, the CBD seems to be helpiing #StudMuffinTheCat’s arthritis pain/inflammation. Last night he didn’t twitch (or smack me) when I stroked down his whole back and even did elevator butt. This is our 17-year-old lady last month on her favorite blankie on my lap, completely zonked out on gabapentin after some tests at the vet. We genuinely thought she might be close to the end, but it turned out that she had a UTI and a course of antibiotics has her acting her old self again. So 🤞.
