Did you know that a) Medicare won't pay for your long term nursing home when you need it; b) Medicaid will pay it only when you have no other money left; and 3) a nursing home can easily cost $100k+ a year in today's dollars?
If you have a house, Medicaid will put a lien on it when you die for the amount it paid to the nursing home, probably denying it to your heirs. (aka "estate recovery")

I've been looking for a new SO for about a year w/o sucesss. Not sure what's different but I've never had such difficulty in the past.
However, something that I've recently experienced is potential dates requiring that I speak w/them by phone and/or Zoom before we actually meet.
I don't like talking by phone or doing videochats and I offer to meet people face-to-face, anytime & anywhere, at my expense & at their convenience but I've gotten firm rejections to such offers from more than 1 person.
So, I guess this the age of "LinkdIn interviews" for dating and I'm behind the times (even though I'm only looking for other Seniors like myself) but I'm sticking to my guns.
I'm also being more "picky" this time around but that doesn't have anything to do w/why people are refusing to meet w/o an audio and/or video interview before meeting.
FTF meetings are much more accurate IMO for assessing compatibility and a "connection" than chatting by phone or video. 🤷♂️

I was at an event today and learned of some MA-based groups and resources that might be interesting to people. One is a virtual #LGBTQ+ community space for older adults. This community faces support challenges that other groups don't so they created #OutstandingLife for that.

Personally, I'm super annoyed at how long it's taking to add #Seniors rates to the ARC card.
