One of my #DukinfieldCC clubmates (Phil Cunningham) has just completed All Points North...a HUGE ride from #Sheffield, through the #LakeDistrict, up to the #Scottish border, back down through #Northumbria and then back into #Yorkshire. He's classing this 1000km+ ride as training for the #TransContinental that he's madly got on! Took him four days!

Everyone objected to the planning permission for this building obscuring the Arts Tower, including the city council, except the manager of the Sainsbury's adjacent to it. It’s not cheating using #ebikes (although it is using Strava but that’s just for visual representation), if it wasn’t for electric-assist bikes we would be driving. Averaging 20km/hr isn’t that much slower than a car. Two hours in the saddle.
We should be building for #cargobikes more than EVs. Cheaper for everyone, much better for the environment, better all round.

The other night I was sitting in a quiet pizzeria when a group of sword dancers (the Steel City Rappers) came in and gave an impromptu performance.

It feels like a return to the modernist style as although it has a brick fascia to soften it a bit, it doesn't have any of the toytown faff or externalised workings of postmodern (cf Guild House or Pompidou)
