This is one of my favorite recent bands I have heard. Laura Beach is an acquaintance of mine and she is really cool. I have never got to meet Margaret Killjoy but she is fascinating in interviews and is also an author.
They are a feminist black metal band.
The music accentuates the ambient aspect of black metal while still having the surf rock-from-heck sound you would expect.

When Republicans control the House or Senate, they go into this hyperbolic faux drama and hand-wringing about "reckless spending by Democrats." If you dig deeper, you'll find that when Republicans get a budget passed, any budget at all, they demand higher-than-requested military spending and lower taxes for their wealthy pals, so they are in fact responsible for budget problems in the first place.
Then, when Democrats get back in control, they always have to pass larger spending packages to recover from the financial messes left behind by Republicans. Here's some advice, GOP: do your jobs. And don't touch Social Security. That's not your money and not the problem.
If you have the misfortune of having a Republican representative, let them know how you feel. Democrats will eventually fix this. In the meantime, enjoy this #SongOfTheDay
