I've been playing guitar for more than 30 years. Never really did get very good at it tbh. Also been passively interested in music theory for the same amount of time. Since late-2020 I've been having weekly guitar/music lessons/coaching (from Richard Shaw, ex Cradle of Filth) and my music output is both 1000% higher and better. My goal is to spend at least 1 year doing music full time to try and turn it into a career. Now sure how / when that will happen though.

Not a fan of Sheerhan's music, but I hope he wins the "Get It On" case. I did a quick analysis and ignoring the key (Eb vs D) chord wise I think "Thinking Out Loud" is quite different. Listening to it there's a bit that really makes you think/feel "Get It On" but it moves on very quickly. Sure, the song has a similar rhythm and pace, but plenty of songs try to achieve the vibe of others songs without copying and imo he's done that here. Good luck, Ed.

Dabei auch ganz viel Creative Commons Lizensiertes - gar nicht mal aus ideologischen Gründen, sondern weil aus dieser Ecke immer wieder richtig gutes Zeug kommt, was definitiv mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdient.
