Me ha costado unas 3 - 4 horas acabar con ese jefe final. Y ver una guía / tutorial.
Dudo que alguien quiera volver a pasárselo, una vez hecho. Es una tortura psicológica con tantos "instant kill" y transiciones entre ataque y ataque en los que solo puedes mirar.
Ahora se ha desbloqueado la "historia final". A ver qué tal. Espero que no sea tan tedioso como los otros dos jefes finales.

Sonic Superstars guardado en el cajon.
Terminé la historia principal con Sonic y la he dejado sin completar con Trip (solo a falta de derrotar al enemigo final).
Le veo dos problemas:
- Lucha contra jefes largas y aburridas, especialmente los dos jefes finales (historia principal y la historia de Trip). En el caso de los finales, no puede ser que sean una batallas que duren 10 - 15 minutos, repleta de transiciones entre un ataque y otro, en los que solo puedes mirar y esperar, con paciencia infinita, a que se posicione de tal modo en el que le puedas dar un golpe.
- A algunos enemigos de las fase les puedes golpear en elementos que deberían hacer daño. Supongo que será posible solo en un momento muy concreto, pero me ha pasado varias veces. Me vienen a la cabeza un pulpo con "pinchos" que sube y baja y un saltamontes que tira sus "brazos metálicos". Deberíamos recibir daño al tocarles ahí, pero les derrotamos.
Por todo lo demás, salvo algún detalle (como la banda sonora) bastante satisfecho.
Volveré a rejugarlo, con Tails, Knuckles y Amy, pero toca desconectar un tiempo de este videojuego.
Edito: Ya me he pasado el final boss con Trip. He tenido que ver una guía / tutorial para poder pasarlo. Ahora queda la "historia final", ya si o si el final verdadero del videojuego.

After a pretty good Sonic and the Secret Rings, this game took all the best aspects and amplified them. The controls are much better and responsive. Music is a banger. The story is one of the best in the series. My only nitpick is that level themes are very limited to that "Magical medieval" theme. But overall a solid game.

👾 Retro Gamers, Here is a great one from my collection. The #SegaGenesis #6PAK game. This game was a compilation of the top 6 games from Sega's 1st year of the Genesis. The games included #sonicthehedgehog #GoldenAxe #Columns #RevengeOfShinobi #StreetsOfRage & #SuperHangOn .
This is still one of my most go-to Genesis cartridges in the collection. I think my favorites on here would be Golden Axe and Streets of Rage, but I have great memories from playing all of them. Golden Axe has special memories because our local hotdog stand had an arcade cabinet of the same game & when my cousin had baseball games, me & him (with our parents) would always meet up at that hotdog stand & the 2 of us would play that arcade game for hours every time. The sad part is they just got rid of that cabinet about 3 years ago... Great memories.

Pitch me another franchise and I'll try to whip up a quick elevator pitch for it crossing over with Sonic
I am 3.1% more likely to come up with something at least amusing on paper than most fanfiction in this category.
I have played Sonic games all my life. Sonic is one of my earliest childhood memories and one of the first games I ever played. (Back then still on the Sega Master System).
The games are often of questionable quality, but something that is always unquestionably good to perfect is the music. I have so many good memories of that music and still enjoy listening to all these of soundtracks to this day. The feeling from the games, the feeling of speed, coolness and excitement resonates with every song.
And then there's this album.
Video Game Lofi: Sonic.
All of those feelings are mixed with relaxation all at once. I can't really describe it, but this album has a strange fascination to me. Relaxing but at the same time exciting. In addition, a huge portion of nostalgia. It just makes me happy.
That's why I just wanted to share it with you. Maybe a little random, maybe a little weird, especially since I never really talk about music here, but whatever.

Anyway, what makes the game unusual in the Sonic franchise is that it uses trackballs to control Sonic and friends! Kinda like Marble Madness. Looking at footage of some of the later stages, I cannot imagine the strain those trackballs were put under, since you have to go FAST and have very little margin for error as the game goes on.

Unfortunately, I've never actually played SegaSonic the Hedgehog- between its Japan-only release and its (I assume) rarity, I've never actually seen a cabinet in the wild. In fact, I'm having difficulty just locating a photo of a cabinet online. I assume they came in Japanese "Candy" Cabs, although I found a photo of a (custom?) cabinet that seems more US-centric in design (photo from SEGAbits birdsite acct).

SegaSonic the Hedgehog is Japan-only arcade game starring Sonic, as well as two lesser-known (but fan-favorite!) characters: Ray the Flying Squirrel and Mighty the Armadillo. Everything takes place from an isometric perspective, and gameplay has a time-attack-meets-obstacle-course quality that's really visually impressive.
