Booster 7 and 9 have several significant differences, starting with the changeover from Raptor 2 to Raptor 2.1, which uses electric #TVC (Thrust Vector Control). A possible reason why #SpaceX has an issue with #methane leakage compared to other #rockets could be the high #pressure that #Raptor operates at in its Methane turbopumps, hot gas manifold, and the Main Combustion Chamber (MCC). I'm going to lose so many hours today if I can't figure this out... I'm using Mac's built in ZSH with some plugins, #starship, etc. I recently installed and tried out the plugin manager zap. Since then, zsh has been going crazy slow.
Today, I get set up and open my terminal and I can't run "source ~/.zshrc". I keep getting this error: "job table full or recursion limit exceeded"

I got #nuShell configured with #starship prompt and solarized light theme. Looking forward to testing it as my default shell.
Nitpicks: Compared to #fishShell, many completitions are missing for external commands and need extra plugins. What bugs me is that TAB doesn't cycle through options, but one has to confirm with ENTER to continue. NuShell's vi editing mode is meh compared to fish's.
But pipelining is awesome and blocks are scoped, helpful because fish doesn't have subshells (wtf).

The pad (other than a fence) certainly looks great after that static fire. The "booster bidet" system seems to be working exactly as needed and the concrete around it is fully intact. If we have all 33 engines working this will mean the chances of a second Starship test launch in the next few weeks look to be quite high.

This is an interesting article on the aftermath of the first Starship test - the physics of how Starship threw sand so far are not really understood. The idea that SpaceX should have planned for something like that happening is a bit harder to buy when the physical models say it should not happen.
SpaceX has to fix the issue, but the steel plate concept has gotten positive reviews from NASA scientists who study rocket plumes.

The FAA grounding Starship is standard operating procedure - it’s going to be *months* before the next test and it’s not going to fly until SpaceX has processed the data from the first launch and repaired/reinforced the pad.
Fixing the pad will prevent another rain of sand on South Padre as well. That is unlikely to be an environmental or health hazard but the FAA will want assurances on that not happening again.
