In local politics, I hear that the #Sunnyvale City Council decided to keep plastic turf out of Lakewood Park. The meeting went to 12:30, with two dozen neighborhood residents speaking against the change.

I’m shedding a tear for the closure of #SummitSchools Denali Middle School in #Sunnyvale. This was a charter school that offered an innovative and personalized education style, and was an inclusive and welcoming environment for kids with neurodivergent minds, while still remaining within the #SantaClaraCounty public school system. The COVID lockdowns really took a toll on them as many families moved out of the area to take advantage of #RemoteWork and more affordable housing elsewhere. The school lost too many students last year and never recovered, so they had to shut down. The converted office building they were in is now vacant once more.

Boba Tea USA opened for business yesterday at 231 W. Washington Ave Sunnyvale CA (at Frances)--replacing a Starbucks Coffee that was there, making this a double win!
