Today's Avengers epi was 'From Venus with Love'. Season 5, epi 1 and in colour! (color spelled the way the kids say it.) Jeremy Lloyd played a chimney sweep, green eyes and all. Llyod was very talented as an actor and writer. He was invited to a dinner party at Sharon Tate's house the night of the Manson raid. Married to Joanna Lumley and engaged to Charlotte Rampling. (I adjusted the colour in these. They were very pale out of my cell phone's camera.)
I'm Asian American and, given my demographic, you'd guess that I should like "Beef" and anything AAPI made, produced &/or cast, but that's not the case.
I took a look at the 1st episode of Beef" but couldn't get into it, because it's just too ridiculous & farscical to me.
Having the same problem with "American Born Chinese" (ABC) and had the same problem with "Everything Everywhere" (EEAAO) that I just rewatched; both of which I just find too far fetched to get into.
The most recent AAPI production that I saw & that I liked best was "Minari."
I also liked "Shang Chi & the Legend of theTen Rings" too. It wasn't my favorite and had "issues" that bugged me but not as many as Beef, EEAAO or ABC do for me.

This is INSANE. #Disney deleting huge swathes of content made explicitly for D+ to take a tax write-off, including newer shows that ended THIS CALENDAR YEAR. Most of the shows are non-#Marvel and non-#StarWars that they produced.

My wife and I are big cartoon watchers, which is something we bonded over when we first met. Several years before we met, I had started a cartoon blog just for kicks and to talk about my favorite shows (I still write on it sometimes: https://animatedtvblog.wordpress.com).
When wifey and I first met, we especially bonded over things like The Simpsons, Futurama, Bob's Burgers, and American Dad. We even did a podcast together last year where we recorded and released a new episode every day in October that covered *every* Treehouse of Horror episode so far, with a segment-by-segment breakdown (https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/podcast-of-horror).
My favorite Simpsons episodes change a lot, and I like the later seasons too (including the current one- I've seen every episode of the show to date multiple times 🤣). One of my top favorite episodes is season 12's "The Computer Wore Menace Shoes". It's such a bizarre and hilarious episode with so many facets- Homer buying his first computer, starting a website (see the still of 'Homer's Web Page' below), and then being whisked away to a weird island because they think he knows too much.
It also has what might be my favorite chalkboard gag of all time, as Bart is writing 'I will only provide a urine sample when asked'. 🤣🤣
I love weird animation so much.
