I compiled my own Tears of the Kingdom soundtrack and have been working on an album cover for it. After a fair few hours of work, I *think* I'm done. It's heavily inspired by this post on Behance with reworked proportions, layout and added details. Needless to say, all rights belong to Nintendo. 🙂

Some of my favorite #amiibo from my collection are the ones I have made. Eight koroks printed with a wood filament that sanded down to a porcelain finish. I only wish I had the skill to paint them well. That was a long labor of love.

Just starting #Zelda #TearsOfTheKingdom and right off the bat I’m disappointed that it launches right into the game without language options. The first thing I’ve done so far is switch the audio Japanese. It’s a small thing but it is one of my gaming pet peeves.

Started getting back into #Zelda #TearsOfTheKingdom the past few days, and while at first I was going off the Depths a little bit, there's actually something quite soothing about spending an afternoon or evening having a little expedition down there, restocking on Zonaite and working towards increasing your battery.
It's also a great activity to do on the TV when Naz's head is feeling funky, because it's very quiet and atmospheric down there, yet I still get to game while she's trying to recover.
I've been playing around with some different digital coloring techniques and gradient mapping. Not sure how regular it will be, since I don't do much digital painting, but still feels good to learn.

It took me many months but I finally managed to complete Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, reaching 100% wasn't easy but it was so worth it!
My favorite Zelda game, it's just crazy that a game of this scale and ambition can even run on Switch, it looks so good too! I'm so satisfied with it on every level!
Waiting several years before we get a whole new 3D Zelda will be hard but I'm excited to see what they'll do with a much more powerful hardware!

Other than defeating The Big Bad, I found all the shrines and all the lightroots, completed all the side quests and adventures I found, and found a few hundred Koroks.
It was an amazing 200 hours... not sure what I'll play next now it's over!
Wow. Aonuma shoots down the possibility of TotK DLC. I’m honestly surprised, and a bit sad. I still have A LOT to do to 100% my first playthrough, but knowing this is “it” for probably at least 5 years until the next mainline title is a little hard to accept. The game was an absolute masterpiece, and I can’t wait to see what the Zelda team comes up with next, but am sad this is probably the last we’ve seen of this iteration of Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Endgame. A good start, but not my best run against the Demon King. Never got a good handle on the changed Flurry Rush timing in TOTK.
No commentary, as my chronic cough actually interrupted my first attempt to record all this....

I still get freaked out by Gloom Hands.
I can't not giggle at "rusty claymore" whenever I run across one in #BreathOfTheWild or #TearsOfTheKingdom because it makes me think of "rusty trombone". Do not look that up.
Finally finished TOTK and it was fun, definitely worth it, amazing achievement by Nintendo 👍
Having said that, I wish they'd done more with the sky and the depths, and perhaps added more towns to the main world.
Once you've explored a couple of islands in the sky, the others are pretty much identical. Were there plans for more to be added? It just feels a bit pointless except as places to randomly skydive from. Some kind of sky settlement like we saw in Skyward Sword would have been amazing.
The depths are really exciting to begin with because you literally cannot see what there is, you're having to inch through them while dodging enemies. But once you've found enough roots to light an area, there isn't anything there either. The monsters just repeat and there aren't the same distinct regions that the overworld has.
Maybe they can do some DLC which fleshes out these blank areas?

I received my copy of the Official #TearsOfTheKingdom Guide. These are always so impressively designed and laid out, and this appears to be no exception.
I think it’ll especially come in handy right now, as I’m spending my time in the game picking up all the stuff I missed.
Maybe it's also part of my playstyle, I'm avoiding battles, especially boss battles. I want to solve puzzles and explore - the fighting, the crafting is a necessity to do the rest efficiently #TearsOfTheKingdom
After about 300h of #TearsOfTheKingdom I'm kinda stuck again. The main quest just doesn't point anywhere. And while I don't mind playing not-straight-forward, in general many things do feel like grinding.
OK, but desert adventuring goes hard in #TearsOfTheKingdom when you put the Mad Max music over it.
I cannot overstate the extent to which #Zelda #TearsOfTheKingdom "cracked" #DeathStranding for me. Incredibly bizarre, as they are obviously different games. I do really appreciate that the latter runs at a high resolution and frame rate on #PS5, however.

In the case of the Zonai from #TearsOfTheKingdom, it may have also drawn inspiration from the legend of Xu Fu, who sailed to Japan under the order of Chinese Emperor Qin Shi Huang.
This would explain all the dragon imagery and Kanji style writing in Zonai aesthetics.
