Yep, once again, the Simpsons predicted the future.
On a more serious note, these things on the road will kill people, lots of them, especially children. They're worse that SUVs.
If you know someone, anyone, who wants a Cybertruck, shame them. Shame them in anyway and in all the ways you can, until they give up on this beyond stupid idea. If they buy it anyway, shame them. Every single you see them. Make that your only topic of conversation. Shame them.

I laughed way too hard at this on so many levels.
Wife and I were watching the Simpsons and Homer is singing Henry the VIII, I Am by Herman's Hermits and I laugh, and mention it's a real song (as there are just SO MANY hilarious and weird pop culture references in the Simpsons) and she wasn't aware (hell, there's a ton of weird old jokes that regularly go over BOTH of our heads on the Simpsons, and I really had no idea of the EXTENT of this until we did deep dives on all the episodes on a podcast we did last October - https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/podcast-of-horror).
Anyway, I mean, I'm 43, but she's younger (Herman's was before both of our time really, but I figured maybe she'd recognize another Herman's song from something- a commercial, or potentially another Simpsons episode)?

My wife and I are big cartoon watchers, which is something we bonded over when we first met. Several years before we met, I had started a cartoon blog just for kicks and to talk about my favorite shows (I still write on it sometimes: https://animatedtvblog.wordpress.com).
When wifey and I first met, we especially bonded over things like The Simpsons, Futurama, Bob's Burgers, and American Dad. We even did a podcast together last year where we recorded and released a new episode every day in October that covered *every* Treehouse of Horror episode so far, with a segment-by-segment breakdown (https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/podcast-of-horror).
My favorite Simpsons episodes change a lot, and I like the later seasons too (including the current one- I've seen every episode of the show to date multiple times 🤣). One of my top favorite episodes is season 12's "The Computer Wore Menace Shoes". It's such a bizarre and hilarious episode with so many facets- Homer buying his first computer, starting a website (see the still of 'Homer's Web Page' below), and then being whisked away to a weird island because they think he knows too much.
It also has what might be my favorite chalkboard gag of all time, as Bart is writing 'I will only provide a urine sample when asked'. 🤣🤣

At first glance, this video by “Kid Leaves Stoop” is about a few unimportant frames cut from the opening of the Simpsons early in the first season, but it turns into a fascinating deep dive into animation bibles, and I love it.

The arcade Simpsons game was a surprisingly fun multiplayer beat-em-up romp through Springfield and the in-game font captured the chaotic lettering of the TV title sequence perfectly.
Here I've attempted to add a set of lower-case characters in the same style... I hope I did it justice - it's a tricky one!

@fribbledom don't worry - when adulting gets too much, I can be found sitting in front of #Plex running cartoons. Mostly #FamilyGuy, #TheSimpsons, #AmericanDad, #SouthPark, #BigMouth but when I REALLY need to revert to childhood, then I delve back in to #Sooty, #RoundTheTwist, #CountDuckula, #TheRugrats and other 90s kids TV stuff 😂
