Different polling companies do lots of analysis beyond the published polls to try to model results better - if you want those data you have to pay - its a subject that interests me, and maybe few others

I wonder why this is such an unpopular tax, given that almost nobody in the country actually pays it. Could it be something to do with the fact that newspaper and TV station owners pay it?

If your estate is worth Β£1,000,001 you are paying 40p in tax.
If your house, contents, and jewellery is worth Β£1,000,001 and you have a Β£10m farm and a Β£50m business, you still pay 40p since farms and businesses are exempt.
If you live in a 4bd townhouse in oxford gardens worth Β£2m, you pay Β£400k, your kids would have to downsize to a 2bd townhouse in Islington and have Β£600k cash left over to stuff their pillows.

I just looked back at the calculations the solicitor sent us. I was very happy for them to pay this. Iβd have been happy to pay more.
