And finally, after our own two dogs and +1 foster Enzo, we have +2 foster Domingo. As my wife says, dogs everywhere.
Domingo also came to the shelter feral and scared. It took a lot of work to get him to trust-- and this work is not "training", but a very personal connection. So when he became at risk at the shelter, I brought him home as a foster.

This is foster Enzo. He was brought feral to the shelter in an adjoining county. I met him by chance at a boarding facility where he had been transferred. He was typical of the dogs I work with, still very scared and wary of humans, unlikely to be adopted successfully. I decided to work with him on the side, one thing led to another, and here he is now. His story is at https://edhaswell.com/adopt-enzo #DogsOfMastodon #FormerlyFeralDogs #AdoptableDogs #Tucson

ROMIE* - ID#A777068
"Romie is playful and super sweet...He is leash trained, and will stop at every corner and sit, without command, patiently waiting until you say, “ok”...He’s also the king of “sit”, “stay”, “wait”, “down”, and “up”...his tail wags anytime you talk to him or say his name. While he’s had a rough life until now, he’s even worked up to belly rubs, and he’ll give you gentle kisses for showing him it’s OK to be loved."

ROCKY - ID#A790647
"A very sweet, friendly boy who was found as a stray...seems to have had a tough life before...with the scars to prove it."
"During his time at the shelter, he’s won everyone over with his charming personality and has gained quite the fan club."
“Rocky is just the best. I have no idea why this guy hasn’t been gobbled up...He has a great smile and just a happy go lucky attitude. Rocky is easy to love.”

ALONZO* - ID#A779275
"This handsome young guy would love to find an active home and a person who can be his best bud and teammate for life. When meeting other dogs in playgroup, Alonzo was playful and social. He’s a rough and rowdy kind of dude, so would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask about Alonzo today!"
"Such a sweet guy"

ADDY* - ID#A785242
"Addy is a sweet young girl with the softest fur and the brightest smile in the whole shelter! She was a bit nervous when she first arrived at PACC but has absolutely blossomed into a happy, playful pup who is completely adored by her volunteer friends. She’s made leaps and bound and it’s time for her to find her forever family."

HANDSOME - ID#A794089
"A sweet, sensitive boy and a graduate of PACC’s decompression program for shy and fearful dogs. He’s got his diploma and is ready to continue his journey in a forever home!"
“I’ve become really fond of Handsome, and with a new confident roommate, he’s really started to shine...such a calm, easygoing dog and I think once he gets used to a new home, he’ll be a fantastic companion!”

MARLEY* - ID#A790350
An old guy that could use a home. The shelter staff think he is about 13 years old.
"A lovable boy who will make a great friend for someone as an only cat or with just one feline companion in the home. Marley enjoys being petted and being a lap cat. He isn't picky about his human friends so come down to say hello to him soon!"

DRACO - ID#A744297
Unfortunately Draco is on the euthanasia list.
"He was housebroken in his former home, slept near his people at night, and listens well according to his former family. "
"Draco is an athletic, high- energy young dog who needs a savvy family who will keep his mind and body engaged!"

ROD AKA WICKED - ID#A715943
Sadly, Rod is on the euthanasia list.
Rod is a big, happy-go-lucky fella who was adopted from PACC back in 2021. Rod has always been a shelter favorite and while we love spending time with him, we’re definitely sad to see him back. Big energetic boys don’t belong in small shelter kennels!!
Do you have some room in your home and heart for a big lovebug?

MILLIE AKA GRAMMY* - ID#A783125
Here’s what her foster had so say:
“Millie was super sweet, cuddly, and affectionate with me. She bonded to me right away and wanted to be by my side at all times. She needed a long time to decompress but she started to relax and show her happy, playful side...Once she trusts you though, she is so sweet and loving- it is absolutely worth taking the time to win her trust."
